Amazing service nothing too much of a bother for them. Even made sure bairn wasn't burnt by plates. Top marks for caring. Made sure food was perfect too.

Went for dinner before a show at the theatre next door. The staff were lovely and the food was great! It's the first time I've been in after driving past regularly for over 30 years and I'd happily go back.

Lovely staff who were very helpful. Food good & plentiful.Room a little dated but spotlessly clean & warm & everything you needed was provided.Great location for me as needed to be nearby the Freeman hospital which was basically a short bus ride away & bus stop right outside the hotel.Would definately rebook.

I have been here a few times over 15-20 years, but this was the first time I wasn't that impressed. Don't get me wrong, there wasn't anything particularly wrong, but it was little things like serving tacos in an army mess tin that wasn't practical and just seems a bit odd. We tried to order bbq burnt ends taco and wanted to pay extra and add Halloumi as they actually do tacos with Halloumi, but unfortunately, this isn't an option which seemed a little weird. You did get 2 tacos (only one in the picture) which made the portion a good size. We also ordered mayo loaded fries but unfortunately they didn't have the mayo and the portion was smaller than expected (see picture) Having said that, I would go back as someone on another table ordered a burger, which was served on a plate and looked really nice so maybe we just need to keep it simple.

Can't fault the corner house really. The food is good quality, some of it is microwaved but for the price you cannot go wrong. The 2 adults 2 kids meal deal for £15 is an absolute steal. Drinks are overpriced slightly but to be expected for a chain pub.
