The decor hits you first. Quirky and fun. Then you see the open kitchen,I love to see my food being prepared. Then the food arrives and it tastes as good as it looks. The J.D burger sauce is slightly overpowering in taste, which is a shame cos you need to taste them burgers. They are the best burgers ever.

What a cool little venue. I love the decor it really feels rustic with an upcycled style whilst maintaining a contemporary feel.
Wonderful staff who were very polite and seemed overly skilled in what they do. even though I came like 2 minutes before closing they still were happy to take my order and the bar lady and i had a lovely chat whilst waiting for my takeaway order which made the time fly by.
I had the dirty salad with chicken bacon and halloumi and gucamole. wow what a amazing salad. I only wish they were open for more days and longer hours as they currently open Thursday Friday and saturday and close early because of their license.
PLEASE NEWPORT COUNCIL GIVE THEM A LONGER LICENSE.
oh yeah I loved the way they turned a negative into a positive because they didn't have a big enough box for my food so put it in a few smaller boxes and gave me a complimentary beer for that fact.
Can't fault them and would thoroughly recommend to all.

The burgers are excellent fresh, very tasty and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the chips are not up to the same standard. They seem like those from frozen supermarket bags. It would be nice to have the option of home made chunky chips. Take a page from 5 Guys for the chips. Poor chips actually diminish the otherwise excellent experience.

Brought my friend to Meat to cheer her up! And it sure did the trick! I myself am a meat eater and she is a veggie and nothing was too much for the staff!! I had the ‘king is deaf’ burger a fantastic burger with PB&J !!! Wow what a combo and my friend had the bean burger!! Everything tasted amazing and Dan who served us was very attentive to our needs.
