First time visit for us. A little pricey but the food was awesome! The trio of lamb was extremely tasty. The skin on the Sea bass could have been a little crisper. Mixed grill was great value.

Nice restaurant tucked out of the way in Bassaleg behind a church. Nice setting. Decent menu and allergen choices. Not cheap. Very good service and attention.

Visited for Sunday lunch on Sunday Oct 15th. Food was delicious, excellent attentive service and good value. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for!

June 2023 Oh I think I found my new favourite place!!
Plenty of parking, easy to access for wheelchair/rollator users with fully accessible toilets.
Food outstanding and beautifully presented. Staff really chill and friendly. Varied menu from set menu to al a carte. Spotless inside with nice decor. You can ask to sit in "the carriage " which are booth seats for up to 4 in the train carriage which is part of the restaurant. For those into trains Google the history!
I mentioned 2 specific disabilities on the booking and they catered beautifully. Will definitely be back.
Starter complimentary bread with the sun-dried tomatoe butter was outstanding and unexpected on warm chunky bread.
Recommend booking essential. Deposit required for 6 or more.

Amazing attentive service, nothing was a problem. Our order came out wrong and they refunded us and cooked the new food and provided free drinks, which we weren't expecting. Food is tasty and good portions

I have had many superb meals at Junction 28 over the years, but I have to say that today’s fish menu surpassed all. The king prawns I had were absolutely delicious and all my friends meals were equally as good. Thank you Tom and staff.

I'm a regular visitor to Junction 28. On this occasion I visited with friends for lunch.
The restaurant was really busy which was great to see.
I ordered the onion bhaji for starters and Tikka breast for main course. Both meals were fantastic and portions were generous. The chips are to die for by the way.
As usual service was superb.
Definitely add J28 to your list and especially do for the set price lunch. Great value and no let up in quality.

Beautiful interior, friendly, helpful, efficient staff and most of our party of 17 people thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was plentiful. However, my pork steaks were a little dry and the chips didn't appear to be home-made - some nice tripple cooked or rustic would have been better. Vegetables were perfect and plenty of them. Will definitely go again but choose differently.
