The Victoria Inn

Asked staff if it was OK to have meals with my assistant dog, they said yes in bar area, they saw the dog was well behaved and just laid down next to us, so the staff said its noisy in bar area you can go into the lounge to eat, so we did, the dog as usual lay quietly and doesn't shed fur plus we have had a table in the far corner The food was excellent and the staff were great, We were then most disappointed to find the landlady had told the staff it's fine to finish the meal and drinks but couldn't return with the dog which was a great shame as we use to visit the pub many years ago and I have just moved to the area. As we were leaving I was told that seems unfair by a regular customer and that a woman sat far from us complained about the dog being there. Nice pub, great food, lovely staff, disappointing outcome

A fab local pub serving delicious food with a great choice of traditional, gluten free and vegan. Chef and bar team very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is lovely. Big beer garden to with a play area for kids. My only fault is why I didn’t discover this pub years ago! Highly recommend 😃
