This one became my fave immediately while I was staying in Newport ! The downstairs is the Next shop ! So,you can spend some time at both at once !! They had so many pretty greeting cards/ birthday cards which were made in U.K.!! I bought bunches !! Lol.Great souvenirs as well !! As well as nice clothes for men/ women.I loved Costa's vegan smoked ham/ cheese sandwiches ( better heated ) ! Also, they had very nice almond tarts& lemon tarts as well !! 😋 I recommend both !Reasonably priced sweets / sandwiches ,wonderful / very friendly & nice looking young male/ female staff !! They were always smiling & very polite !! They stopped serving cream tea unfortunately ! You can sit by the window & looking down & watch/ enjoy the views !! A very clean coffee shop & always busy ! I visited there this summer ,so the A/C was always on ,a bit chilly ! Lol. They had very very clean toilets !! W/ hooks on doors for your coats / purses ! Which often can't be found in Wales !! So,that was real nice for me !! Especially I shopped a lot around ! Mostly foods / snacks & bottles of water I had to carry around ! I highly recommend this Costa coffee shop !! A real nice place to hangout, or kill times !! Or for your cuppa !

This Costa is upstairs (there is a lift) in Next Friars Walk and is very good with friendly staff. It is nice to sit in the window seats and look down to Friars Walk and John Frost square. My favourite food is bacon baps and the toast is also good. Has recently been refurbished, May 22. Sausage baps sometimes contain nasty lumps of gristle so beware 🙄

Excellent Strawberries & Cream Frustino in a Newport store in Next. Quite difficult to find but looked clean and tidy. Service was good considering Covid restrictions.
