Pig'n'pancake

I come here about twice a year, I always love the food, and the service is incredible. They're always friendly and happy to get you what you ask for and are more than willing to meet your accommodations. I usually get the French Toast. The French Toast is so good and so filling, definitely something I would recommend. I also treat myself to a hot chocolate, every once in a while, and it is scrumptious, one of the best hot chocolates I order from restaurants. They also have a pretty good gift shop, filled with stuffed animals, apparel, toys, and souvenirs. I look forward to coming here every year!

This is a chain that never disappoints. Service was quick and made feel like a friend and not just another customer. Food was great. Eggs cook right and bacon was crispy. My waffle had a nice crunch and the out side and light n fluffy on the inside. It is tough to find a negative here but if I had reach for one, I prefer Tabasco with my breakfast food instead of Tapatio. But that is the worst I can come up with. I am a happy man.

My partner and I both have had longtime traditions where we eat at Pig 'N Pancake every time we'd gone to the coast with our families, and Friday was our first time doing so together during a trip to the coast. We were closest to the Newport location, which was conveniently placed downtown in the old City Hall center, making it rather large and interesting. The interior had a cute little gift shop, where the two of us bought shirts to show our love for this restaurant. The place definitely has an old-fashioned family diner feeling, and has a lot of breakfast and lunch specials to offer for great prices. Comfort food at its best. We would highly recommend the pancakes and the waffles, both with the special marionberry syrup, though there's so much to choose from in the menu and it is hard to go wrong with anything. Service was fast and friendly. You can be that we will plan to come back, and we will be talking about this place whenever we get the chance (as well as showing our love with the shirts).

Pogs N Pancakes turned out to be a real win for my college age daughter and myself. We were in town for just a few days and we chose to come here for multiple breakfasts. They have reasonable prices and good variety. My daughter loved the biscuits and gravy. I have to eat gluten free and they had lots of gluten free options for me too - including waffles and pancakes as well as toast to go with egg dishes.

Excellent breakfast! Home made chicken fried steak. Gravy was tasty, although it is served under the steak. I prefer it smothered in Gravy. Not sure why they do this. Pancakes were fluffy and tasty. Bacon was thick and good! Eggs were cooked as I ordered. Vikki spells her name like my wife and was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was nice and clean. Well kept. We will be back.

I was actually surprised at how good the food was. The restaurant had a "Denny's" type of feel so I had a little concern with how good the food was going to be. Everything was amazing! The dinner salad - which is so simple - was crispy and fresh and had just been washed. The fish was also fresh. Not disappointed and will return when we visit Newport again.
