Szabo's Steakhouse And Seafood

My co-worker and I both ordered the Tuesday ribeye special for lunch (both medium rare). His was done just right, but my steak was much thicker and very rare. I still ate it and never had it sent back. The taste was good, but several bites were tougher than I would expect with a ribeye. I can't really complain for 14.95 though.

I hesitated when I walked in because it looked more like a bar then a steakhouse. I ordered A1 with my dinner as a precaution but there was no need! My ribeye was cooked to perfection. They should post a picture of it in the dictionary for med rare. The sear/crust was amazing and full of flavor. I literally call home about it. Bake potatoes with the works good but it is really hard for a tater to shine next that miracle of a steak. I walked out of there with a ticket less then $30. If I could rate this hidden gem higher I would.

We drove past seen steak and seafood. Stopped and sooooo glad we did. It's family-friendly but does have a sports bar setting. All the games were on my husband was so happy. As people came in, the waitresses sat them near the game they wanted to watch. Service was on point. We never had to ask for anything. Food was 10+ rating for us. I wanted cajun shrimp, so they made them Cajun. 10 out of 10. Steak had the grill marks and cooked just the way we wanted. The cheesecake. Oommgggg, talk about delicious. I ended up getting caramel and strawberry. The prices were great. I can't wait to come back. Ps. The waitresses were very sweet. Love the vibe

They have the BEST margarita on the rocks ever!!! If you come on a weekday between 3-6, you can get one during happy hour. I've tried all of their daily specials except spaghetti and meatballs and chicken fried steak. My favorite is the Saturday fish and chips and yesterday I got 4 small to medium sized cod fish pieces. Second favorite is the Wednesday fried oyster dinner, it's amazing with the cocktail sauce! Their clam chowder is also really good and their steak fries are delicious. Service is excellent. UPDATE 9/28/23: I just added a pic of the halibut fish and chips (but I substituted the chips for a cup of clam chowder) I had tonight and it is AMAZING!!! Also, since my initial review, I've tried both the spaghetti and meatballs and the chicken fried steak and I love BOTH!!!

While it's a rustic sports bar lacking much street appeal, you couldn't ask for (or maybe even find) better food or service for the price in the immediate area. All the cars in the parking lot are a good sign. If you're served by a young woman with Szabo tattooed on her arm, you should do what she says; you're in good hands. But that Mile High Pie should carry a warning label. It could easily feed six or more people.
