Newport Cafe

Not much you can say that's bad about this place. Amazing food that's fast and tasty. Is breakfast all day an amazing hamburgers. And as a local, it's hard to eat out at restaurants because of the prices. But this place always has a reasonable pricing. It is very small, however, so be ready to wait for a table on the weekends when it's tourist season.

We went here for two different meals. The first was to prove that they have hands down the best Clam Chowder up and down the coast. For the second meal we went for breakfast and I will tell you the service and the coffee was always there. We never had an empty cup and the staff was what makes the atmosphere. I had the corn beef hash and it was one of the best I have ever had. It was fixed with the right amount of crispness on the outside and a great flavor. I would definitely recommend for a great eating experience.

Absolutely what you hoped for an expected. The place is a true diner experience with awesome food. If you’re looking for fancy, or a polished environment this isn’t it— but why are you looking for it here anyways? We tried a variety of foods, burgers, omelettes, kids meals— each one was super filling without sacrificing quality. Our server was quick, friendly and did an excellent job of making sure we had drink refills (coffee & pop). Will find again when we come back to town next year.

A good spot to grab a bite on the coast. Their menu has a ton of variety, and good prices. There's outdoor seating options if the inside is full. My only complaint is that you have to basically go through the kitchen to use the restroom. The interior dining area is pretty small, but everything else makes up for any negatives. Overall, this is a great grub stop!

Very fair prices. Big portions. Everything you would want from a beach cafe. The burgers were really good. Like umm this is super tasty and maybe one of the best I've had on the central coast good. My server was...ugh. the other server was a superstar. Bad luck o draw for me but I'm not going to lower the rating for one sub par employee on that day. It's the end of the season and I appreciate all my service workers.

This is a little dive of a place that exceeded our expectations. The food was great and the portions were plentiful. Seems to be family-run and both dad and daughter were efficient and friendly. We got the halibut tacos, fried shrimp w clam chowder, and our teens got fish and chips and a chili cheeseburger. The batter on the fried items was SO good, way better than most fried food you'll have elsewhere. The facility is small and kitschy and it totally works! I loved the personality of the menu, too. We liked it so much that we plan to return for breakfast tomorrow in our overnight stay in Newport.
