Gyro Guys Mediterranean Grill

The food was excellent! If you're vegetarian and are looking for a place to go, this is it. Everything was fresh and absolutely wonderful. We ordered the Vegetarian Meza platter, and the falafal, dolmas, tabouleh, and salad were amazing. The babaganoush was mild and really true to its origin, as was the hummus. Try the traditional tea. It's also very good. All in all great. We'll be back!!!! 😆

Great food, amazing presentation. Try beef/lamb mix plate with rice, pita bread, hummus, yogurt sauce. It's so yummy and good portion. Only don't come when you're really hungry. Plan ahead cz good food takes time. Chicken rice for kids is also a very good portion, rice a little dry and little spicy. But my kids like it. The gyro sandwich is also a good choice. It's a must place to visit while you're in Newport. Ps. I only took 1 picture since we were hungry 😂

We were surprised to find a Mediterranean food restaurant on the coast in Newport Oregon. Right on the main road through town in a tiny strip mall. Found the standard shawarma, gyros, falafel and various vegetarian dishes. The lamb pita and the beef pita were very good. The veggie meza was darn good. I especially enjoyed the falafel. Service was spotty. The server forgot a tea for two and lagged on the water. Everything was a bit slow. The interior was kind of rustic country. The tables and chairs were made of a dark colored wood. The two TV's playing cooking shows was annoying. If you crave Mediterranean food, this will fill the void.

I have been here twice and both times were fantastic! I got the Falafel Sandwich both times (it is vegetarian, though there are 2 or 3 other vegetarian options as well). The interior is absolutely beautiful and spacious. It is almost easy to pass by this place on the 101 in Newport, but it is truly a hidden gem. I highly recommend it!
