Mama Luisa is a hidden gem on Thames Street. It’s a taste of Italy in the heart of Newport. The food is authentic and cooked to perfection. I went to Mama Luisa for a birthday celebration. The service was quick and the staff was kind and knowledgeable about the menu. I recommend Mama Luisa to pasta lovers and anyone who loves an intimate atmosphere.

Atmosphere was wonderful, food was delicious. I had onion soup for an appetizer, it was to die for! The server took a bit to warm up to us, but all and all a fabulous evening !

We come here every year we vacation in Newport. Food is great, Connie (our waitress) is hilarious and keeps us on our toes.The food is exceptional and the wine list is extensive. Definitely recommend Mamma Luisa’s. It’s as good as the food in Italy!

Incredible restaurant. I went with my fiancé while we were in Newport celebrating our engagement. The staff was so friendly. They came by as we were finishing dessert and gave us a free toast!! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Also, the food is AMAZING. I wish we lived closer. We want to try everything on the menu.

Visiting from New jersey on a vacation and everything was great. Not to mention we had probably the best waitress in the northeast. I don't know how to spell her name but its the Korean lady. Someone give her a pat on the back.
