This place was outstanding. The food was great, the service was impressive, and the drinks were superb. My friend and I enjoyed our time here and the staff gave us a few tastings throughout the meal which was so kind and delicious! I would definitely recommend this place. PS: the specials are super tasty and affordable!!!

I have eaten here two times. The room is by far the finest in Newport. The food is very good. I recommend the catch of the day. They grill the fish and place it on top of veggies with broth. The service is also very good. I lost count of how many times the staff checked on our table. Room, food and service were all very good.

So disappointing. The boeuf bourguignon had one piece of beef in it but was hot, at least. The other three entrees were lukewarm. The lobster risotto was undercooked and tasted only of saffron. The chicken dish was under seasoned and also lukewarm. On the bright side, our server was excellent. Maybe it was just a bad night.

I so wanted to like this place but it was not meant to be. Although our server was friendly the service was not up to par due to his double bar duties. When we walked in there was only another couple there already eating. We placed our order and after 20min more people tricked in and still no food. After another 15min I note the table behind me gets served the same meal I ordered. Still no order for me. Server assured me it’s coming. Another 15min go by (now 1hr since I ordered) and server reaches out again to tell me they’ve run out of what I ordered. Turns out my order was given to someone else. To add insult to injury, the manager (although kind) tells me it’s the first she hears of it and asks if I want a gift certificate. I declined. First off, it should have been given not made an option because it made me feel like I was trying to be grabby and get something for free. Which was not my issue. It’s about doing right by your customer. And I got no assurance of that. And that’s really disappointing. So a hard pass for me for a next time, since my time is valuable and I cannot be certain if it will not be wasted again.
