Went in for ice cream and ordered 2 small cups. The portions were generous, but the ice cream is far from being great. Very generic (like supermarket's low-cost) and for over $9 very expensive. Not worth it.

My family come once in a while to dine at Newport Creamery. We came to a different location this time, and the food is still quite delicious! We came to Newport for some touring and stopped by here for lunch. Service was great! It was packed yet our server was extremely efficient with delivering! What did I order? A combo: Half of a lighterfare sandwich and a cup of clam chowder. The clam chowder is creamy and packs good flavor. Do I need to explain a tuna sandwich? Yes, it was nice.

My daughter and I went in for dinner and ice cream, the assistant manager sat us why we waited for 10 minutes and the 2 servers came from the back reeking of smoke ...before we even have a glass of water and are ordered taken ... their friends were waiting in the lobby and they went over and greeted them before they came to us to take our order, the assistant manager stood by and watched and did nothing. There were also 3 people sitting at the ice cream counter waiting for their order to be taken also very disappointing!

I was a little disappointed with the ice cream here. The flavor was pretty good but the texture was disappointing. It was not churned or stored properly because there were small shards of ice as I ate it. I would never expect that from a place calling itself a creamery.
