Best Hot Dog in Newport; Chili or otherwise. Flat-top Grilled all-beef Wieners cooked to order: NOT those Jumbo Dogs. Delicious and consistent example of a GREAT American classic well done (no pun intended).

Read about this place in a tastes of Newport article so we stopped by. Really glad we did. Love the hole in the wall local kind of feel. Had the child dog, kraut dog and kale soup. Cheap eats as well. Cost was $7.

Chili, cheese and onions! Sooo good! Sometimes I just find myself craving Ben's so much that I've absolutely got to go to satisfy that craving! Cash only, but inexpensive. That section of Newport is nice to walk through while enjoying a Ben's dog! If you haven't been, you've got to go!

You need to try them if you have not already! Not your average dogs. Don't expect NY system either. The chili is flavorful, but the cheese sauce is straight up addictive! Ask for extra cheese, you will thank me later.

Dogs are decent. I do like going here but have had way better dogs (Olneyville New York System wieners in Prov). My boyfriend told me they used to mainly focus on dogs back in the day, but now they have all sorts of stuff (ice cream, candy, fried dough, poutine, soups etc)... Big mistake. Sometimes its better to focus on something you are great at instead of trying to sell a bunch of other things. :(
