Monterrey Mexican Restaurant

Awesome place to eat and great, great service! Rose Torres was our waitress and she was absolutely fabulous! Great food, cold drinks, and a great smile and very friendly staff...what more could you ask for at any restaurant?!!! One of the best in Newport!! Thank you Rose for your service and your kind attitude..😁 Also, if you get the chance get the Newport Special entree as we loved it and it was amazing!!!!

I was a little concerned at first because the waiter was very bland, he had no personality. The food was good, the salsa was good, the guacamole was tasty, the chips were a little over done, but were good. The food was also reasonably priced which was a plus. They had a limited variety of soft drinks and they had no homemade hot sauce. This is the first time in years of traveling and eating at a different Mexican restaurant at least once a week where they didn’t have their own homemade hot sauce. They were also limited to two varieties of store bought sauce, at least that’s what I understood. All in all the place was clean and the food was good and reasonably priced so I would definitely recommend.

I basically live on the road and in hotels. Mexican food is my favorite so I eat at a lot of different restaurants and I'm generally disappointed because I can usually cook it better myself, but I ordered the tacos de carnitas and it was really good. based on the dish that I ordered, I would give more than 5 stars. service wasn't terrible and my waitress was really friendly, but I'm pretty sure the guy that brought me my food was drunk so I dropped a star.
