Crown's Coffee Corner

I've passed this restaurant many times and never thought to pop in - mainly as it is right next door to a Tesco Superstore. But a recent business meeting took me there and I was amazed at the quality and service. It really was a superb meal with really attentive service. It is like stepping into a part of Italy - the food - starter - mushrooms and pasta superb and the mains of lamb and chicken were all excellent . The desserts are also wonderful - an amazing collection of authentic patisserie that I have not seen outside of London. I cannot rate it highly enough and hope it will continue to deliver on my next visit. It is obviously run by a family who take a real pride in what they do- fantastic place - do visit

A very good classical Italian restaurant with a very wide-ranging menu. The presentation of the food is also very good and the range of drinks is wide. Parking is freely available in the covered Tesco car park. I can particularly recommend all of the pasta and fish dishes, the red house wines and the really striking 'Vesuvio' pudding of ice creams, chocolates, sauce and a firework!

Out of all of the places to eat at in Newport & Cardiff this is our favourite resturant regardless of its for lunch or dinner. There is such a calm and relaxing atmosphere here that we feel quite tranquil when we leave. As usual polite and respectful service, the waiters/waitresses are always on the ball so you rarely have to ask for anything. Delicious food with plenty of varity to choose from all served in a timely manner. No complaints whatsoever. We had a lovely lunch here today and I recommend this place to everyone.

What an exquisite restaurant! Your senses feel so pampered from the raw, Italian interior design and plush seats to the intricately placed crystal glasses and unique waiting style. As a vegan, I had at least 2 options and a decadent dessert to choose from. The surprising factor was the beautiful taste of fresh Italian ingredients dancing on your palate; all whilst you are really situated inside a Tesco Extra! I would highly recommend for a special date or if you fancy some authentic Italian indulgence.
