Fantastic Sunday lunch experience. I had the Roast Beef (with Yorkshire Pud) and my Partner had the combo Roast Beef & Roast Pork. The dishes come with cabbage, carrots and roast potatoes. We ordered additional cauliflower cheese and they also brought us an extra gravy boat of the delicious gravy. My Partner then had the mango cheesecake for desert. Very welcoming, especially as we had our dog with us (booked in to eat in the bar vs the restaurant). All in all a fabulous, relaxing Sunday lunch. We will certainly be back.
It's a really great atmosphere and the garden is massive and well maintained, really great for the summer. The food was nice, but nothing mind blowing. The service wasn't great, the staff are nice and polite, but lacked experience as food would come out at different times and the servers would have to ask the same questions multiple times. It was also slow service and wasn't that busy.
Lovely place with excellent food. They have a swing for bigger kids who don't need the baby seats to keep them in. They also have an old tractor which kids can climb on and sit on. Highly recommend the pie, so filling and delicious. And the steak is enormous and cooked wonderfully.
Highly rate the food and the location.
Food is on the posher side and there was something for everyone.
Really lovely beer garden. Kind and friendly staff. Lovely Sunday roast and mid week lunch! Lots of parking.
stunning interior decorated restaurant/pub… cosy and it feels like you visited a gallery with so many beautiful artwork inside, and decorated with live plants that make the whole place more relaxing and welcoming! They also serve quality food and you’ll get serve by hardworking and friendly staffs, the place is always busy so I recommend to book a table in advanced. Highly recommended!
I wanted to really love this place! The staff were friendly, the decor was 10/10, the vibe was positive and everything indicated that it would serve up a proper pub experience.
The staff forgot about us a couple of times, notably when we asked for sauces, sugar for the coffees, and table water. They were probably just a bit busy, maybe?
The nut roast option was below par - it wasn’t really a nut roast, it was more like mashed sweet potato topped with sprinkled nuts etc. It had no bite or texture, and not much flavour. It might be considered an interesting ‘twist’ on a classic, but was a bit disappointing when we were just looking for something familiar.
The arancini were very delicious, and the real ale selection was vast! If I were back in the area again, I would probably return but not on a Sunday.
Beef salad was not available so opted for the burger instead. I had braised lamb shoulder which was excellent. We haven't been here for many years but it is now on our list of places to eat. More importantly for us it is somewhere we can bring our visitors and know that we will have a good quality tasty meal. Deserts were excellent as well.
We decided last minute to go for Sunday lunch, what a great decision that was! An absolutely fantastic meal, superb festive cocktail and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended 👌
Had a lovely lunch here. The food was very good, the service excellent. Couldn't believe how busy it was which gave the place a nice buzz. Enjoy visiting the different pubs in this chain.
