We had a beautiful Sunday lunch at The Anvil today, everything was cooked to perfection. There was a choice of huge slices of beef, pork and chicken with perfect roasties and Yorkshire puds, tasty veg and enough gravy for a northerner ....and gorgeous desserts.

Absolutely go here to eat. Staff really friendly, food and beer fantastic. I recommend pie night on a Tuesday, the steak and ale was to die for. We would have gone back the following night but for a bad back meant an early return home. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Came here 2 years ago and had lovely meals and was greeted by friendly staff. Walked in this Sunday afternoon, even though they were busy we managed to get a table. Sunday roast was amazing and the staff remain friendly and eager to please. Definitely worth reserving a table for your Sunday dinner.

Returned to this pub as it was opening from lockdown. It was fantastic and I am glad it made it through the beer was excellent but best of all was the warm welcoming approach. Unfortunately they were not yet serving food but when I ate there previously it was superb. Love it.

Had a great meal here while on holiday. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly to match my request, along with cracking chips and sweet potato fries as an alternative. All 3 meals were at the table promptly despite how busy they were. If in the area I would recommend a visit where you will be taken care of by great staff who were friendly and efficient. Booking recommended, Will return!!!

Me and my partner had a meal here while on holiday lsst week and it was bloody delicious! The food was hot, cooked beautifully and i could have bathed in the stilton sauce that came with the steak. Very good customer service, would highly reccommend :)

Very welcoming staff. Wheelchair friendly and very dog friendly. Prompt service. High quality food which has been delicious every time we have eaten here. Specials board changes daily. Not at all expensive for the quality of the meals. I would strongly recommend eating here.

Hidden gem in North Cornwall! High-quality restaurant standard food in a cosy local pub atmosphere. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the prices were excellent value. Lovely owners and friendly staff create a really relaxed atmosphere and dog-friendly too. Highly recommend 😊

Nice village pub with a good selection of drinks and food. Situated right in the middle of the village. Low ceilings, tall people be careful entering. I find that the special nights seem to have a better quality of food, although everything I have eaten there has been very nice indeed.
