fantastic food, the best chip shop in Newquay, always a must when visiting our family
Arrived late in the evening and needed something quick to take away and eat at the hotel, so we tried this fish and chips spot.
It came out really good. Their fish and chips was delicious.
Staffs were friendly. Good service.

Super busy restaurant, walked in at 1930, queue out into the pavement! The staff at the tills were lovely, took the order swiftly, very polite and welcoming. You get a receipt with a order number, when the food is ready they call you, took about 20 minutes for the order to be made ready.
The food came fresh, chips were crispy on the outside and soft inside, fish was fresh, crispy outside and flaky inside. Skampi was on point, the star however was the pea fritter, super delicious. Top chippy, the positive reviews are consistent with the shop.
Delicious cod and chips the best we've had in a long time. The cod so tasty no bones at all the batter perfect, not forgetting the chips yummy plus I had the mild curry sauce very nice.
Friendly staff clean welcoming and tasty food can't go wrong.
Came here for fish and chips and it was excellent. Best I've had for a long time. Lady who served us was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back again

Just been in and had the best fish and chips. Fish was cooked lovely and the batter was golden and light. Hubby had a burger and was impressed, not the usual mediocre burger you get in chippy. Staff were lovely and helpful. Defiantly a 5 star chippy *****
It's the best chippy in town. Delicious Light boxes. My usual choice. Not over priced. Always baking hot and fresh. Lovely staff of all ages and no work stress indicated, they just roll with the work and do it brilliantly. . Well done guys 👌
Really good fish and chips! Batter was just how you’d want it - light and crispy. Great chips too. Very friendly staff. Had about a 10 minute wait on a Friday night which isn’t bad considering.

March 2022: Update
Back in Newquay for work and once again we found ourselves craving something normal for a meal in the evening! No choice really, a visit to Flounders for some great food and friendly staff.
We were not let down, the staff are so friendly and everything was cooked fresh. I ordered cod, large chips, spicy curry sauce and a bap. I was stuffed by the end!
Really can't recommend this place enough, pop in and you won't be disapointed! Also as a bonus they even took my company issued AMEX credit card! I've added some new images below too.

Was in Newquay for work and fed up with the standard meals out in Indians/Chinese etc, so we decided to have some fish and chips in Flounders.
We sat in the shop to eat our food and was welcomed by the friendly staff. I ordered a regular cod and large chips with a spicy curry sauce. The fish was like a whale, it was huge. Batter was nice and crispy with lovely chips, the curry sauce was awesome.
My colleagues both enjoyed their food too!
This has to be one of the finest fish and chip experiences I have had, highly recommended if you are in the Newquay area!
