Very nice fish the chips was not outstanding we was the only two people in the diner and the chairs on other tables was still up on the other tables.

When I heard Chippies Plaice had new owners I was a bit concerned... However visited today and although the service needs to be a little 'streamlined', the fish and chips was exceptional. Freshly fried cod was beautifully cooked, very white and thin crisp batter. Chips were golden and tasty, and not too greasy. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised that the new owners have been able to maintain my high expectations! Cooking excellent, service good, just needs a tiny tweaking.

Everytime we get fish and chips from here it's always brilliant quality and beautifully cooked. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Wouldn't go anywhere else for our weekly treat.

We wanted fish n chips and decided to give this chippy a try as so many people raved about it. I was quickly and efficiently served and the quality of the fish and potatoes was superb. Light batter, not greasy, Beautifully cooked. Thank you. We'll be back!

I've known Carl and his wife the owners for many years. All that needs to be said about Chippies Plaice is that since around 2009, I have always had perfect customer service, with the very best meals always.

We have been going to Chippies Plaice for a good few years, but when Covid hit us things changed and we couldn't go and eat our lunch inside, we really wish they would do take aways as then we could have our beautiful fish and chips at home.
But anyway I want to say to everyone that these really are the best fish n chips in Devon. We used to live in Teignmouth and always made the trip here, but now we have moved to NA so hopefully will be back eating our favourite meal soon.
The BATTER used is absolutely the best batter in the world. Thank you Chippies. X
