Sloop Inn

We Haven't been here in awhile thought we would grab some lunch on way back from visiting family . Loving the menu! so much to choose from and perfect for the kids . We Didn't have time to have desserts but we will definitely be returning again soon. Would like to mention a Lady Called Sam she gave us great service. See you again soon.

Took about 35 mins for our food to be brought out, but the food was very good. Outside decking area could do with a good clean up, fag butts everywhere, not so nice for chasing an 18month old child around stopping her from picking them up.... Staff were all polite and helpful. Gents toilets could do with a new door..

Visited the Sloop Inn in Kingskerswell back in July for a dinner out. We booked a table ahead of time to ensure the 5 of us would be seated and not have to wait. The waitress was very friendly and asked us to do the track and trace as we are in coronavirus times. We didn't have to wear masks inside the restaurant. She walked us to our big table in the middle of the restaurant and explained about how to order using their app. The app was great, ordered what you wanted and charged straight away so you didn't need to tot up a bill at the end of the dinner, made it even better that you paid for your food straight away rather than trying to split the bills. Food came quick and i enjoyed my scampi and chips and my vegan black forest pie for pudding (I'm dairy free). The staff were friendly and checked in on us multiple times. We all had a good time and weren't rushed. We were asked to put dirty glasses on a table behind us, which we did. Luckily, the car park parking meter was broken so we didn't have to pay for parking. The restaurant has big windows so you can enjoy the view as its slightly elevated. Would return again.

It was a busy night. Around 70% full, but the waiter did accommodate my family immediately. (Was once told they can not accommodate us due to only one kitchen staff working when Sloop Inn was less than half full). Only one staff member at the bar doing drinks and taking food orders. Changed the chips to sweet potato chips but was not informed of the extra cost. However, the food did arrive quite quickly. The food quality was much better than the last visit. Rump steak was more tender. Sweet potato chips fried well. Salad fresh. Hope Sloop Inn can continue to keep up the higher standard and make the necessary improvements

Excellent choice of food and great value as well. The staff go out of their way to ensure customers are happy with their dining experience. Sam, in particular, is a great asset to the establishment. I recommend chicken skewers, skinny fries and BBQ sauce. We like the place so much we eat there 3/4 times a week. Specials on each day. There is nowhere else in the Torbay area that can match this.

I visited with my family this evening. I hadn't been for many years and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere was lovely. Staff were all cheerful, friendly, helpful and well presented. Our food was lovely; well presented, tasty, hot and good value for money. Thank you. Would definitely recommend and we'll be back again soon.
