A huge thank you to Marie (I think!) at the Pumpkin Cafe, at Newton Abbot train station. The first time I met her, Monday AM 17th July, she was so friendly and helpful, chatting to me and my partner while we got a coffee, she made us smile, so when the next day our training centre upstairs ran out of milk, I thought of Marie and wondered if she could help. She very kindly gave us some so we wouldn’t go without a beverage for the day. She was so lovely and generous, that now when I’m in Newton Abbot train station for work in the future, I’ll go the Pumpkin for a coffee and a chat with her, whereas before I may not have bothered. The kind of customer service that stands out, and someone who knows the impact of a small gesture.
