Chiquito

Our first time here and was welcomed warmly by Barbara we was able to pick a table by the window, drinks came quick and was given time to choice our meal both me and my daughter went for the fajitas with chicken and pork it came sizzling away was very tasty and filling very nice indeed Barbara was very helpful in choosing our choice and she was correct, we also went for pidding and why not we both went for churro's yet again a great choice by Barbara, overall a great experience lovely food great atmosphere and great friendly and helpful staff

To be fair there were just two tables occupied and ours was the biggest. The one server was excellent and very attentive to our every need. Truly going above and beyond. As for and drinks were exactly as ordered though I did feel the classic chilli was lacking enough meat to truly qualify as a meat product. Children's drink sizes were baby size. No child older than 5 would be satisfied. To add insult to injury, tap water is classed as a drink for child meals though it's free to adults. Full size fizzy drinks are charged the same but not considered refillable if bought with a child's meal as an extra. That feels like a very unfair deal to me. Parking is good. Disabled access is good though it's hard to understand why the disabled bays are further away than the closest able bodied. Not their fault but the queue for neighboring McDonald's prevents customers for here from turning into their car park. It wasn't even busy on this occasion yet we still had to wait for time for the queue to go down. Maybe they could consider that with either the road layout or perhaps advising drivers on approaching from a different direction.

Food was lovely , fresh and good portions. Children’s menus options were great too. Food was ordered from main menu, lunch menus and kids menus, very satisfied with the choices. Our server Barbara was a delight and made our meal an extra joy to have. This meal was to celebrate a birthday and was tested to a brownie at the end of our meal.

Chiquito's is one of very very few Mexican restaurants in the area. Staff are really friendly and I have received good service both times I have visited. Despite this, the wait times for drinks is about as long as the food. We ordered several starters and mains to share as to be able to try more items and were not disappointed. Their barbacoa beef tacos are to die for and I would revisit for this dish alone. The rest of the food was also good however the portion sizes are a little small for the price you are paying. Would be nice if they offered a sharing platter of mains for big groups. All in all I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes Mexican cuisine or just looking for a nice place to eat out. Book on weekends!

First time here, absolutely loved it. Warm & friendly. Barbara looked after us, definitely recommended. The Mexican sharer was awesome as a starter. The tacos were amazing too. Followed by the loaded churros for dessert. We will definitely return here. It’s such a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal together. Thank you Barbara. See you soon.!
