The Ark Northampton

Even on a grey October morning, this was a great place to come for brunch! The Ark has been on my vegan radar for a while and it was great to see what they had to offer. My wife and I ordered an oat flat white each, which was well made and hit the spot. I went for the tofu scramble and my wife the avo toast. The tofu was good and replicated those 'eggy' flavours well. I'd say it was a little bland and I'd have expected two slices of toast for the price (same amount of scramble). The hot sauce definitely helped and I appreciated them finding some for me. The vibe of the place is great - I think they've recently (re?)decorated and it shows. I can imagine this being cool for parties, especially if you can make use of the top, outdoor level in good weather. I will come back here at some point for one of their dinner-event evenings to see how they do main dishes. It's great to have a fully vegan option in town! For those that care, there's two Pokemon Go gyms in easy reach of the The Ark and a few 'stops.

Often pop in here after a walk or cycle ride. Quirky venue. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Great location- 5 mins from town centre yet on a river and near a marina , park and Delapre Abbey to explore! Watching the kids at the skate park also a bonus. Will definitely be returning in autumn to admire the Arks new coat of paint.
