I love it here! It's my favourite Italian restaurant ever I won't go anywhere else in Norwich. I always bring my friends here lovely staff and great atmosphere! Foods fantastic . Penne millenaise is my favourite and the sharing meat platter for starters is out of this world!! I highly recommend.
Just fantastic! What more can I say. Lovely little place, gorgeous proper Italian food, not massed produced. Nice environment to sit in - we were in the room upstairs. Really enjoyed it
My goodness talk about good homemade Italian food! This reminded of the type of Italian food that an Italian grandmother would make at home for u. Everything I tried tasted real good.
I tried their liver, eggplant "aubergine" parmigiana, simple arrabiata penne pasta, and mushroom risotto.
The downside of this place is that it is by reservations only, and they hardly answer their phone. Forgot a $600 sunglasses in there and couldn't get it back. Other than that, it's worth a try and I think it's hands down the best Italian in town!
Never been as I now live in the US, but any restaurant without a dedicated kids menu, which let's face it, is usually crap, gets my vote.
This is my all time favourite restaurant. I absolutely love this place and am constantly making excuses to go again.
Charming Italian restaurant in a quaint part of the city. Food and decor is authentically Italian and prices are decent too.

My my my. Forget the rain, the drunks and Alan Partridge. What an absolute find! Take my beloved Antico. Make it larger, make it in the middle of a "city" and make the menu more basic and change localities.
What incredibly authentic Italian food, reasonably priced an with gliding, friendly staff.
Null points (as the French say) for having to travel to Norwich to find this place. Maximus points (as I'm sure a Greek god must have said at some point) for what is a truly superb Italian restaurant.
Visit. Enjoy. Even travel to Norwich to do so.

Lovely experience in a gorgeous venue, decided we fancied pizzas and they were good but I am certain their pastas would have been nicer. The drinks were super expensive for soft drinks but overall lovely pizza and nice desert.
Lovely friendly family run place. Wine good, but pricey. Friend had a risotto, lacked flavour. I had a vegan pasta dish and again, no depth of taste. The pea side dish was lovely though and that brought extra flavour to my main.
Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, so maybe we just made bad choices.
this is the only restaurant I can say I am a "regular":amazing food, helpful and friendly staff, great atmosphere.

We love this little gem of a restaurant.
We’ve returned a few times now and love it here. The cosy and traditional aesthetic combined with really authentic great food.
My husband loves eating here and seeing somewhere display their culture so proudly with such a focus on simple, homemade food! He is French and all his family are in France so I think visiting somewhere like Trattoria reminds him of his family dinners. Very ‘come as you are’ where you don’t check the time, just eat good food, drink good wine and enjoy the company.
I love the service here too, each course is cleared away promptly and food arrives quickly - but we are never rushed to finish or get the bill. Once we ask for dessert or an espresso we are almost always left to our own devices to finish in our own time and head to the bar to pay.
There was a new server the last time we visited and, though very sweet, would excel with a bit of help with training. She seemed really perplexed that we wanted to taste the wine, and I explained that sometimes the wine can be corked/tainted and it’s just something that happens every now and then, though I got the feeling she thought I was trying to insult Trattoria by tasting the wine.
For some reason I then tried to defend my reasoning by explaining we had a corked bottle just the night before at a pub nearby 🤣 we have all been there and she will do well with a bit of experience and some mentoring.
We will happily continue coming to Trattoria!
The staff were very pleasant, the food was good but our meal felt a bit rushed and it was just a bit too noisy for me.
Absolutely fantastic, the food was amazing, the staff attentive and covid safe. I cannot rate this place highly enough 6 stars at least. My new favourite restaurant! And we aren't easy to please.
We have been coming to Trattoria Rustica since we were young and it doesn't change, traditional food in rustic surroundings.
So why not 5stars? The Pollo Michelangelo was lovely but the asparagus was in large peices which was a disparity to the other ingredients, the electric blue cocktail was over sweet and not nice and the Affogatto was more a coffee sundae, sorry guys, but we will always return here.
Me and my mum came here in November and it was fantastic. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection. there was a lovely young lady who served us, she was very helpful. I defiantly recommend!
A must visit food is outstanding 👌
