It is worth mentioning that Waterside Cafe has not been open very long and it was clear that the operation is still bedding in,
The location is great, by the lake and close to work so ideal for a business lunch or, as with us, a leaving lunch.
I had the Quiche of the day (which was a mystery as nobody told me what it was and there were no signs or evidence to give you a clue) with salad, the quiche was unusual in that it was puff pastry, which is fab for me! Unfortunately the quiche was overdone and not creamy and smooth, the salad was basic shredded lettuce with a couple of slices of cucumber and a couple of cherry tomatoes with a splodge of dressing on top, not a sophisticated offering.
The all day breakfast looked amazing and the baguettes were enormous!
Prices were fair, service was confused but the staff were great.
I like where the Waterside is going but it has a way to go.
I will return to see how its getting on.
Nice little café at Waterside. Lovely seating area outside. Avocado bagel & coffee were tasty. Defo a good place for lunch & coffee. Only minus is that the display refrigerator is quite loud. I’m quite noise sensitive but just chose to sit outside & the problem was solved. Recommended a visit! :)
Nice little cafe, Friendly staff, nice food. I don't normally complain but we weren't offered a choice of toast, brown or white. We neither like mushroom's but no substitute was offered, however the "black pudding dumpling" was to die for . Don't take my word for it give it a try but be warned the car park isn't very big. 🤓

Lovely cafe, great selection on the menu, I shared a sausage roll with my husband and it was delicious. Great decor and all the staff seemed really happy.
Lovely experience here. I had an oat milk latte and a full English breakfast which was lovely quality. Staff are friendly and polite. The location is nice facing the water with plenty of seating, and we didn't need to book.
Another new place we found for lunch.Myself daughter and grandchildren. I had coffee and sausage roll. Delicious sausage roll lots of meat and very large. Breakfast served all day which is always a bonus. Two milk shakes for the children were not quite as nice as other places comments were very runny and left by the children although presentation was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Bonus is being able to sit outside in the warmer weather although we sat indoors. Will definitely return.

Called for the full English breakfast 15/08/23. It was magnificent. Very pleased indeed. The service was swift and the food both delicious and good value.
