Very attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere and very clean, not a crumb in sight Authentic Mexican street food which is simple yet tasty. Don't read all the bad reviews, they probably haven't been to Mexico! Also a great view of the beautiful cathedral gate, always a bonus.
(Groupon deal: pulled pork quesadillas, ribs, chicken satay, meatballs (🌶🌶very spicy!). Ice-cream is cheaper than said menu price 😉 Left feeling full.
Really good food and fun friendly staff! We went for our friend's birthday and they found us a candle and sang happy birthday with us! They also play Mexican radio and the music is really fun! The cocktails are beautiful but quite strong!
Stopped here for a little bit of lunch, it wasn't the first choice as we have been to cocina on timber Hill and wanted to try something new but didn't fancy it in the end. We had the sharing to start nachos and they tasted so much better at this branch than the other. The mains were full of flavours. The staff were very polite even if there was only 2 of them. The lunch time menu is very good value 5.99 with chips, the mocktails taste better to me than the cocktails although I didn't have any cocktails here. Overall very pleased with the choice we made

Came here a few days ago, it was a blizzard outside, thick snow - hardly anywhere was open (unsurprisingly). We were surprised to find that this place was open - so in we went...
We were greeted by the manager, who acted as both our waiter, chef and barmen - as the place was completely empty, there were no other staff members or customers - it was a unique experience, getting such a one-on-one service, the manager cooked and served all of our meals himself in good timing and provided a warm, friendly atmosphere; which is rare in any chain restaurant (though this was a result of exceptional weather conditions).
The food was excellent; expect street-style Mexican food, not too many veggie options but we asked our waiter/manager(!) and he bent some rules to make a vegetarian version of a meal which wasn't on the menu; so that was nice of him! Cocina offers the Mexican street-food staples, the menu keeps it pretty safe regarding any spice (asides from chilli sauce condiments); Tacos, Burritos, Nachos, Churros etc.
The restaurant is clean and well-kept, with cliche sombrero hats scattered on the walls and gaudy wallpaper prints(!). Overall a pleasant experience accompanied by excellent service! Would definitely recommend and will be going again.
love this place, end up in there every time we go near tombland. it has a great atmosphere and the size and quality of the meals and drinks is perfect. great place to go and have a laugh with your friends and the staff. everyone working there is so friendly and inviting. Big thanks to Mollie for great service and a good laugh.
used a groupon, had a wonderful time, wifes birthday meal, had tons of food, everything was delicious, staff were top notch, best mexican we have ever had, wonderful! the main guy that served us was delightful, would happily go back again, nothing was too much trouble, well worth a visit!

Covina was great, we went on a Tuesday evening to celebrate our sons birthday. The service by the super friendly Molly was excellent. The food was also very well enjoyed a great evening thank you.
We had dinner and drinks here last night for my 50th birthday. The food, drinks and staff were absolutely amazing. They really made my day special! Will definitely be coming here again.
