Masala Junction is our favourite place when we fancy a lovely meal out. The food is all perfectly flavoured and beautifully presented. There are plenty of options suitable for my vegan diet, which are all clearly labelled on the menu. A lovely atmosphere, beautiful decor and friendly staff. Would recommend for anyone!

As huge Indian food lovers we have travelled to some of the best Indian restaurants across the country and overseas, including several Michelin star ones. Masala Junction is definitely amongst one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve ever visited. Having tried the brand new vegan menu, there’s only one thing to say “wow!!”. The menu was hugely varied, creative but even more so, absolutely delicious. More often than not, vegan food is an after thought but this menu was definitely created by someone who wanted vegans to enjoy their food as much as other customers. The food was exquisitely presented, and tasted as amazing as it looked. Our favourite starters were the Tofu & Broccoli Tikka and the Carrot & Beet cutlets, absolutely divine. For main course I can’t recommend the Kale Kofta and Soya Keema Mattar enough, they were as good as any Indian meal I’ve had in a Michelin restaurant. We were truly blown away!! If you’re looking for amazing Indian cuisine with service to match, then look no further.

In my opinion this is an outstanding Indian restaurant. I had the sea bass dish - the best I’ve ever had!

I accidentally booked the wrong night but they were incredibly accommodating, thankfully 😊 it was very busy, always a good sign. We had to wait due to my error but they kept us informed constantly as to how long we'd have to wait. And it was definitely worth the wait. The food was incredible. I'm not usually an Indian food fan as its often too hot. But this was amazing it had heat but so much more flavour. The service was good, attentive but not constantly in your face which we appreciated. All in all an incredible restaurant, you definitely need to book. And remember to turn up on the right day (unlike me!) 😊😊

For a change we thought we would try a different Indian restaurant last night and after looking on trip advisor we decided to ignore the one solitary not so glowing review and rely on the hundreds of fantastic reviews. Boy we are so glad we did! As soon as you walk in to Masala Junction it feels like a fine dining experience but without that starchy, formal feeling. The building is a former bank which has been beautifully and stylishly transformed. The food is outstanding; our starters a scallop and a duck dish were exquisitely presented and tasted even better. The clever mix of interesting flavours, colours and textures was a delight on both the palate and the eye! The main courses followed in the same vein and were amazing! The lamb rogan josh was sublime; the meat melted in your mouth whist the vegetables in it were beautifully cooked (not too soft). The sauce was rich with a depth of flavour, topped with crunchy fresh ginger and herbs...perfection! The chicken balti was equally tender and delicious. The restaurant was really busy but it did not feel cramped, just a great ambience. The staff were polished, attentive and friendly, even when the place was full. Our only regret is that we had not been here before, it is by far the best Indian restaurant we have been to in a very long time. So glad we decided to try it and can’t wait to return!

I visited the Masala Junction with my wife and family to celebrate my stepsons birthday. Atmosphere was good although a little cramped. The food was at best average. I had a takeaway from an indian restaurant near Leicester two nights previous to our visit which was a lot tastier and far cheaper. The cost of drinks was I am afraid far too expensive compared to other establishments I have visited. Overall I and a number in our party were very disappointed. I certainly wont be returning.

I have lost count of the Indian restaurants I've been to over the years, but Masala Junction stands head and shoulders above the rest. I have been here three times now - it isn't las cal to me, but well worth traveling for on an occasion. Lovely ambiance and friendly, accommodating staff get your evening off to a great start. The food itself is outstanding – the presentation is an art form in itself and the flavours will just send your tastebuds crazy! This won't be beaten.

Decided to try this restaurant instead of our normal haunts on Maid Marion Way. We were not disappointed from the moment we walked in ,the staff very attentive. Quality linen on the tables. It was busy but the staff were not phased and nothing seemed too much trouble. Food was excellent and also enough to satisfy the most hungry. This is not the cheapest Indian restaurant but the quality and service were well above your average. Definitely will visit again, we done to all the staff.

Located at the junction of the A60 Mansfield Road and the A611 Hucknall Road. No car park, but plenty of on street parking nearby which is unrestricted after 18:00hrs. From the outset the experience was 5*. We were greeted at the door by the owner, Naj, who showed us to our table. Our coats were taken to be hung up by his team. The main dining area is a light spacious room with high ceilings with ornate plasterwork, obviously original from this very old building. The decor is modern and stylish. The table linen crisp and clean. From the get go you can tell you are going to receive a Fine Dining experience. The service team were polite and attentive. The food served was superb. It was to a very high standard and quality and served artistically. The salad with the starter was super fresh and crisp. The vegetables in the mains were nicely al-dente and had a nice crunch. Presentation at this restaurant is a fine art, the attention to detail was not missed. I would certainly recommend this restaurant. This is not a cheap curry house, this is Indian Fine Dining at its best.

Only one reservation. This is a true restaurant so don't expect the usual large indian portions. The resto is well laid out and spotless. Waiters hover but do not intrude and the overall level of service is excellent. The food presentation is what you would expect in a high class European resto. The food itself was outstanding. We were 2 carnivores, 1 vegan and one healthy eater and we were all very impressed.

Excellent professional friendly service with a lovely atmosphere. Nicest Indian I’ve had - scallops and duck for starter were amazing! Perfect - 100% recommend to anyone.

I was staying in the hotel over the road and found this place on Trip Advisor while sitting on my bed. I could see it by looking out of the window. It was a Monday evening and the place was ticking over nicely. They were not phased by a solo diner. I had sag ghost with a tarka dal on the side and a plain nan to scoop it up. The lamb and spinach dish was very green, but the flavours were good and the portion was generous. I had a sensibly priced bottle of Cobra to wash it down. I might even have had two. It's not cheap, but I would happily visit again if I am in the area.
