The Ugly Bread Bakery

Cosy bakery. Visited in the morning had no idea what I was ordering as it wasn't completely clear what the selection was - but they all looked great so I picked one with brie and some kind of salami. It was toasted in the large oven behind the counter and within a couple of minutes I had a really delicious fresh hot sandwich. Staff were super polite and friendly and the whole place had a great vibe. Must say, I didn't really care about not knowing what I'd ordered - but if I ever return I won't be able to order the same ... That being said,I'd be happy to try any of their sandwiches.

Visited on a Friday morning with my Father as part of a long weekend. Skipped breakfast at the hotel and wanted something local & different. We came upon this whilst walking through the city centre and gave it a bash. A whole manner of breads, confections & pizzas are available fresh from the counter. Cheddar, Basil, Tomato & Pesto Foccacia Hot Chocolate Black Americano Coffee Yum Yum I had the bread. I was expecting it as a sandwich but was very pleased to see it had a trip into the pizza oven. A delicious and delicate way to start our day. The hot Chocolate was very good also with a thick foam on top and a decently flavoured drink beneath. A trendy interior for student types & business people to do a couple emails with a bite to eat. Would visit again if I was in the city.

A truly independent business that brings you quality food at really affordable prices. The bread quality is outstanding with fresh ingredients. It serves all type of dietary requirements. The staff were very friendly and informative. If you look for a breakfast or lunch spot, this is certainly my recommendation.

Great food and atmosphere but the man behind the counter was rather rude when directing us to talk to the other female staff to order. If I had visited alone and not with a friend I would have instantaneously left. We all have bad days but to act in a rude manner isn't professional and business like at all.
