Limited menu, but good quality home cooking. No cards or cheques, cash only. No children allowed. Friendly staff. In a converted cottage.
Wandered in during a walk with my dog, very welcoming landlady. I’d never been before but we were friends in moments and I’ll be sure to go again soon. It’s not child friendly which suits me perfectly but should be noted for walkers with children. Very dog friendly, lovely warm fire on a misty icy walk and a beautiful! Highly recommended.
Everything that a country pub should be......
Brilliant atmosphere... with a lovely host....
Sharon the landlady put on a fantastic event for us last week. Very welcoming and fantastic selection of food. Highly recommended.
Home cooked food, small menu, friendly, no children and cash or cheque only, recommended
The first pub I've visited since lockdown started, and I'd been unsure about going out....I need not have worried... We were greeted by a lovely woman wearing a most imaculate apron, she explained we would have to sit outside, which we were more than happy to do. Table service meant we didn't have to go inside, our drinks were brought to our table, card contactless payment outside, and the cleanest table, chairs, tray and drinks glasses I honestly think I've ever seen. I felt more than confident and could relax and enjoy my drink. A great experience.
A free house. No corporate chain rubbish. No fruit machines, no music. Just a nice quaint old fashioned pub.
Very personable landlady. Good beer. Big improvements have been done during lockdown. They have out a lot of effort in for the reopening. Worth a visit.
Stopped of here one Friday night in sept 20/20 like going back in time
Place is a gem landlady was really friendly and locals were very welcoming
We shall be back
We were given a warm welcome to this lovely traditional English pub in a quiet village. Excellent real ales and really nice food.
