I booked my mums surprise 60th birthday meal here with our family,we all had a fantastic time,beautiful place,excellent food,friendly staff,would very highly recommend it to all,I will deffo be visiting again �
love eating here the food is to die for portion size good too, just tried my first ever calamari and loved it, staff are friendly and helpful
A perfect setting for a restaurant,with the small lake and water fountains in the grounds,a perfect walk for after your food
The staff were helpful and I liked the fact your allocated a waiter/waitress to your table.
The food was fantastic and well presented, the lunch menu was nicely limited in choice, but had a wide variety of dishes. The portion sizes were ample for lunch.
I was pleasantly surprised with how reasonably priced it is,with the setting and style of restaurant I expected higher prices, this really is value for money.
I will certainly be visiting again, next time maybe for an evening meal.
Lakeside is truly a top notch place! I have given it 5 stars because I genuinely felt like I was at a 5 star venue with 5 star service. It was a little bit disappointing that we got there after 19:30 so it just meant that we couldn’t order hot food. But we was allowed to order desert and drinks. I had a cocktail called Master Yoda, which luckily came with half a rice cake because I was hungry 😂
We had drinks and chilled lakeside “literally” then we had a nice walk around the outside of the venue. There is outside toilets for outside dining. Various picnic benches around the grounds where you could potentially sit and relax. It just was a really lovely feel and we will defo be going back! I’m really wanting to try the surf and turf or some of the other mouthwatering things they have on their menu. Thank you lakeside for a wonderful time, we will be seeing you again real soon :) 5 stars ✨✨✨✨✨
Beautiful surroundings complete with, as the name suggests, lake, fountains, listed building, wooden terrace, mood lighting and perfect landscaping. We made the most of it sitting outside at the Lakeside Terrace. Shame that the main road is so close.
The food was exquisite, I would highly recommend the salmon starter, chicken main and chocolate bomb dessert. Between starter and main we were treated with a palette cleanser, today was blood orange.
The service was prompt and cheerful. The meal was a bit pricey but the quality is there. It only opened recently, clearly looking to impress, hopefully it keeps the high standards for it's bright future.
A beautiful picturesque place to go for a meal or just a general drink. Professional service, ample parking etc... Its the place to go after lockdown!! Make an effort to drive down Mansfield road as this place is a must see. All customers are respectful hence no drunkenness to contend with. Also they cater for weddings which I would expect provides same level of service.

The new owner has done a fantastic job of keeping the character of the place whilst modernising and bringing the place up to date. I wish him every success. We even got a glimpse of the real Santa in his grotto..
What an amazing place run for highly competent people!! We enjoyed a beautiful engagement party and must thanks to Sam, Chloe and Eliza. Highly recommended for any kind of events. We will be back 👌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻

The long awaited Lakeside! I have to say that no expense has been spared; fantastic gardens and fountains. I visited on the evening of the first release from lockdown, so I could only sit outside, so can not comment on inside. I turned up on spec and as such sat comfortably next to the fountains and not the terrace. I had three pints and the wife had a large wine. I can not comment on the terrace area but only from my point of view. The menu looked amazing and the pricing was to be expected for such a high end renovation; this pleased me as it would keep the rif raff away and attract the clientele this venue deserves! The staff were very friendly and were happy to chat. I have awarded 4 stars. Unfortunately I could not award the fifth in this review as on many occasions staff walked past our table and left empty glasses, on two occasions even spoke with me and still left empty glasses; I also requested the bill and this never came until I asked once more.
Now remember I wasn't on the terrace, and can only hope the customers located there had a better table service? I did note what appeared to be mangers sat on a table just off the terrace to the Left hand side of the front door, if this was my investment I would have had them on duty coordinating the new team to ensure super high standards warranted for the price point of the venue.
With the above said, the staff might have been told to not be so formal so were not on thier "A" game as we are just coming out of lockdown; I do hope this is the case?
I'm certainly looking forwards to booking a table and seeing what this venue can offer once firing on all four cylinders.
An amazingly beautiful place and the work that has gone into bringing back its former glory is epic. Food is fantastic and although u can only sit outside at the moment it's still a very friendly atmosphere.
Beautiful setting, enjoyed the food. Would be good if could do a light bites lunch menu for the less hungry. Service pretty good, didn't get offered dessert menu though!
