Epitomises nottingham’s new found confidence and creativity. Chocolate without any milk fats or oil is like in the 90s when I discovered coffee wasn’t maxwell house and Nescafé. The Papua New Guinean blows your mind with earthy mushroom notes.
I love Luisa’s chocolate. I’d never had 100% before and absolutely love her bars. Have tried other makes now but none are a patch on Luisa’s. My daughter adores the honeycomb chocolate.
Absolutely delicious vegan Chocolate from such a lovely business, local to me too which makes it even better. The Passionfruit bar surely deserves a " Taste " Award as it is literally the best thing I've ever tasted. I first tried it from Selfridges and thought - I need more of this! I popped in yesterday and had a lovely chat to Luisa. How many places can you go and talk to the chocolate maker directly? The whole story behind the business, creating delicious bean to bar chocolate ethically produced with more than fair prices to the producers, is just wonderful. Luisa's Vegan Chocolate is the epitome of what small business is all about .
I had the pleasure of revisiting Louisa's chocolate shop today after being away for a few months, and I was instantly reminded why this place is truly one-of-a-kind. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted by the incomparable energy that fills the air, making this more than just a shop – it's an experience.
Louisa herself is a gem. An expert in her craft, her enthusiasm is contagious. She immediately approached me with a variety of delightful samples, elevating my visit from a simple shopping trip to a tasteful adventure. The chocolates, needless to say, are incredible! And expertly crafted.
Louisa's energy, the second you enter the shop is awe inspiring, and is certainly infectious as I left the store with a huge smile on my face thanks to her positivity and all the free chocolate samples I could hope for!
Louisa and I had an engaging conversation that ranged from the nuances of chocolate-making to life's simple joys. It's rare to find a local business owner who invests so much into not just their products, but also their customers.
In summary, Louisa's chocolate shop is more than just a destination for excellent chocolates. It's an experience filled with warmth, expertise, and an energy unmatched by any artisan business I have visited in Nottingham. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to visit, do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it.
Never dissapoints. They have so many flavours, from dark chocolate single origin all the way to white chocolates. Have been my first choice for gift giving (even my non-vegan friends love their chocolates) 😊
Incredible chocolate. My family and I did the chocolate making experience and it was such a great experience! Everyone was so friendly and informative - great to learn about the chocolate making process. The chocolate was absolutely delicious - tried many flavours and loved them all! It was really fun making some bars and truffles as well! Would recommend as a great day out with friends or family! Also, great as someone who doesn’t have dairy - so many choices.
This place is the perfect chocolate shop in Nottingham. Luisa has a gorgeous range of chocolates to chose from and can speak to you directly about how they source their cacao and care for the farmers. I tried the passion fruit white chocolate which is the nicest white chocolate I have ever tried. I thoroughly recommend Luisa's chocolate if you want a treat that feels good.
Ethical, excellent and delicious , vegan chocolate! Luisa (the store owner) help us to pick the taste of bars and explained us how they make the chocolate ! It was an informative chocolate taste afternoon. We tried Louisa’s vegan ice cream and it was special and delicious . The thick layer of chocolate on the top make it unique . I really love this place and owner is an incredible talented and intelligent business woman who loves her job. Staff and service were excellent too. Keep up the good work !
I first visited a few weeks ago and have been back several times! Luisa's chocolate is absolutely stunning! Worth every single penny to invest in a bar and the whole story that comes with it. It's a must visit. And really cool that just down the road you can buy baked goods containing her chocolate at Breadmill Bakery.
I’m a self-confessed chocoholic and love finding high quality, bean-to-bar chocolate. ❤️ Not only does Luisa produce the finest quality, delicious tasting chocolate (which she handcrafts in her Nottingham chocolate makers), but she is part of The Colombian Project; she helps take her farmers out of the poverty cycle (paying them up to 69% more), she educates & empowers them during her visits (where she meets the farmers in person) and she helps bring positive change to the world by providing better opportunities for regular Colombian families who have been physically or financially pushed into farming illicit drugs in a country where dangerous cocaine cartels rule, living a life built on uncertainty, crime, violence, financial instability and staggeringly low education rates. I really admire the work Luisa does (you can find out more on her website!) 🙌🏼❤️
Thank you so much for a fabulous and informative online chocolate tasting evening. Both Luisa and Isabella were an inspiration and I loved hearing about the amazing 'women in chocolate' throughout the supply chain. Luisa's business is ethical and sustainable, supporting women in farming in Colombia. I also loved Luisa's chocolate - so much so, that my partner and son have since purchased me some more products through Luisa's website for my birthday and Mother's Day. Can't wait to try them! We're so pleased to be supporting the craft chocolate movement - wishing Luisa lots of success going forward. Thank you :-)
Their chocolates are delicious and vegan. There's a good selection of chocolate bars and you can create your own custom boxes of chocolates with lots of flavours. The staff are great, friendly and enthusiastic
What I like the most is their ethics, by dealing direct with the farmers they are getting great chocolate and the farmers are getting a decent income. The farmers can afford some of the things we take for granted, like being able to educate their children.
Great shop, great chocolate.
