Enjoyed meeting family and friends. Really nice pub the staff are very welcoming and polite. Had a chat with the landlord he was really nice.

Fantastic pint of John Smiths, in a reasonable price range (£3.50). Atmosphere was excellent will be popping in when im down this neck of the woods again.

Very friendly landlord and landlady lots of choices of drinks bingo night is fun , lots of entertainment for the new year a lovely function room up stairs all been done up very nice .

Such a good atmosphere everyone’s friendly in there. A real local pub. Very respectful to neighbours with noise. Courtney and Ryan are doing an amazing job running the abbey, couldn’t ask for a better landlady and landlord.

So glad this beautiful old pub is under new ownership. What an amazing difference to see it now. Everything has had a complete makeover and it's especially good to see the upstairs room all fresh. Can't wait to revisit and enjoy a drink or 6 in the much nicer surroundings. Thank you to the new owners and staff for bringing the pub back to life. ❤️😊👊

Only visited the upstairs function room, although it was a nice room with its own bar it wouldn't be an acceptable room for a large gathering.

My new local!! Ryan and Courtney have done a brilliant job on the pub making it a family friendly pub.Great prices for drinks. They always have something going on every month which is amazing. Keep up the good work can’t wait for the food in the future!
