Visited Kerrera island for a short walk while staying in Oban. The ferry from north pier to the marina (£2.50 per person each way) was really easy, without having to get the bus out of town to the main ferry. We walked up to Hutchinson Monument (quite boggy), and then in the opposite direction past the farmshop and back to the marina. The Waypoint restaurant has a little honesty box based "coffee-and-cake" corner which is available even when the restaurant is not yet open. This is a lovely place to sit and relax while waiting for the return ferry - out of the elements, with great views. All staff (the ferry boat drivers, restaurant staff etc) are all very friendly and welcoming. You can book your ferry ride on the website, or just turn up.

Quite and lovely restaurant with beautiful scenery of the Oban harbor. Excellent Scottish food and drinks for reasonable price. Friendly and informative staff. It is so relaxing to have a lunch at outdoor table. In 2015, if you visit this restaurant for great food, you could take the ferry from Oban to here for free.

Unless you’re already moored in the marina (we weren’t), a short ferry ride (booked separately from Oban harbour) to this marina-side restaurant is the start of this lovely evening out. The establishment is a simple wooden building, and the kitchen a separate ‘shed’ next door. This adds to, rather from detracts from the setting. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, friendly welcome and spectacular views back to the mainland. The menu is short, but the food is excellent and well presented. (There’s one veggie option, and several seafood choices). We were able to sit in the restaurant, and because it was excellent weather, the doors were wide open allowing us a spectacular view across Oban harbour and all its activity. There was even a friendly reminder from the staff, about half an hour before the last ferry back to the mainland, the journey on which, with a beautiful sunset, topped off the evening. I’d fully recommend this as a venue to visit for a simple but lovely evening out.

We enjoyed our lovely little boat ride over to the island of Kerrera for some lunch at the Waypoint Restaurant & Bar and a great hike around the island. Our small lunch was GREAT and perfect for what we were planning for the day. Our service was perfect and helpful - they gave us a hiking map with a key - that actually helped us quite a bit. The fish and chips were great and our views of the marina as well. Nice having bathrooms available as well and there were showers too ~ Definitely a keeper and a hidden gem.

Great place to hang out and see Oban from a different perspective. Pizza & Burgers and a good selection of beers & wines. Unless you've a yacht you'll need to buy water taxi tickets £2.50 pp each way and meet the boat on the old market pier next to Piazza Restaurant. Tonight we enjoyed live music but book well ahead and follow Kerrera Marina Facebook or web 🕸️

Food was excellent. I mean, really good. Really good food ethos with local produce taking front and center. What tremendous local produce as well. Sublime. But more than that, the staff were absolutely astounding. Couldn't do more for us. We have a nervous dog and she was accommodated to the enth degree. Stupendous hospitality and we will be back.

I really wish I’d taken a picture of the food. Sadly I was captivated with the dog and hungry -demolished the food as soon as the plate touched the table. Great quality food and friendly service from all staff. We had the beef brisket a bottle of red, and shared a desert. Good serving size/price/quality. Delilah the dog is one lucky thing to live on this beautiful island wish a friendly, and efficient bunch of people.

Being a seafood connoisseur Keith’s (the fabulous chef) food and hospitality blew my mind. Awesome flavours! If you appreciate shellfish this is the place to be.

Had a perfectly fine evening and food from a very small menu with 3 choices - burger, pizza or a great seafood boil. It was Saturday so I suppose keeping it simple as busy BUT overheard the next door table offered scallops, lobster and steak 😲 which we had hoped for. So - ask for the secret specials 😁

Great restaurant. Cosy atmosphere with amazing food! Would cross the bay just for it. Highly recommended. Just had what is probably the best burger I have ever eaten here. Delicious island beef.
