It's always a busy and popular pub so you're not always going you be lucky getting a seat. The service is great. Can take a wee bit of time for food during busy times but the staff let you know in advance if ordering. Straight forward pub grub.

Food excellent. Staff good. Lively 2 level pub with outdoor seating as well. Steak pie exceptional. Chicken pie exceptional. Family very happy with food. Pub quiz Thursday nights - reservation for trivia required. Otherwise reservations not take - 1st come, 1st serve. We called ahead to find out the best time to arrive for dinner.
