Great chippy! First time ordering from here off Uber eats. Homemade rag pudding, chips peas n gravy & haddock, chips, peas n tartare sauce. Packaged individually and not soggy as others usually are! Absolutely be trying again.

Jack sprat has the amazing customer service all the staff are really polite and the owner is very humble and friendly with everyone. They all give you a nice good welcome. The staff and owner are very good. I am truly pleased. Food is also amazing very tasty 😋 and fresh. Will definitely be using these guys on a regular basis thank you guys and I definitely recommend to anyone.

Love this chippy, the food is always fresh and the chips always look bright and light, plus they always taste so good!

First off try their homemade stuff (cheese and onion pie and rag pudding) they are the best me and my husband have ever had.
The fish is lovely too. I've never liked fish but my husband got me to try his and for the first time in my life I didn't hate it. It was really nice.
If I could give more stars I would. Best chippy I've ever been to.

After living here for 4 years, when the snow storm from the east hit we really needed some comfort food and quick. We went to Jack Spratts for the first time last week as it was close to our home but never tried it.
We ordered 2x Cod and Chips at £5 a portion - fish was lovely and crispy and chips were proper.
A sign inside hangs and reads all foods are cooked in vegetable oil (and not lard.) Also mentions the chips, the fish and meat are all fried in separate pans.
Staff were very helpful and great banter with customers. I would come again.
