Staff were great, we booked a table for 7 via the online booking as we know it can get busy here. We were a little early but it wasn’t a problem to get a drink and wait 10 mins for our table to be readied for us. Ordering was simple and the food was very tasty. All 7 of us were happy with our food. Definitely recommend.

The best place to be on Cornmarket Street! Everything you might want from a hidden old city centre pub: great atmosphere, welcoming staff, superb selection of beer and drinks. The Camden Pale is a delight

The lunchtime food was superb. The outside seating, in what is little more than a courtyard, was comfortable and pleasant, and of course the place is right in the middle of town. Great service from the staff. Recommended.

Hidden treasure! Superb traditional pub tucked away but in the centre of Oxford. Great atmosphere, choice of good ales, and superb pub grub at sensible prices. Wish I'd found it on previous visits to Oxford!

Didn't expect to find a pub like this in the centre of Oxford! Tucked away and easy to miss, it's well worth finding if you enjoy good beer, superb traditional pub food, excellent service, and decent prices! Have never had a better ham, egg and chips meal! Only discovered it by chance, but will definitely come again when we return to Oxford!

Great choice of beers and ales staff are very friendly. Only annoying thing a group of students came and sat down taking up the whole table not buying anything and people was walking back out thinking it was full that's money lost that could of gone in the till . Told a member of staff they wasn't bothered. But apart from that it's a great pub to visit

Delicious fish and chips, chicken salad was also great. the baked Mac and cheese stole my son's heart

Lovely tudor style pub, great atmosphere, good selection of ales and very efficient staff who work their socks off. Had chicken Sunday roast which was excellent and everything cooked to perfection despite the pub being very busy. Highly recommended! Next time I'm in Oxford I'll be back there without a doubt.
