I thought the food was fine (fish and chips) and my mother loved the atmosphere, but my father had a bad experience with the pie. There was a good selection of drinks and service was awesome. The dessert (crumble) was tasty too.

Lovely Saturday lunch with the family. The meals were excellent, though it took a while to come out to us. Not very busy, with plenty of spare tables but they were probably booked for later. Great pint of Doom Bar too.

Our favorite items on the menu are the halloumi fries and the bangers & mash. It is clean, the staff is friendly and the washrooms are clean. The music is great. The food arrives quickly and the portions are really good. Great value for the money!

I very much enjoyed the whole experience. The food (Sunday Roast) was delicious & there was plenty of it. Pudding, the creme brulee, was also above average. Maria, whom I met on Sat. when I came in to make a reservation, was very friendly & helpful. Please let her know that I had a wonderful time dining there. It's a lovely place, as well. My only very minor issue was that I wasn't aware that after being served the main course, I would need to go to the bar to order pudding, so was feeling rather ignored for a while. However, that was the only negative aspect of the entire visit.

Came to this pub after having a panic attack. The atmosphere was chill, the bar staff were so lovely and welcoming. Exactly what I needed. The place was spotless and reasonably priced. Sat in the garden with my mum and daughter until I felt well enough to leave. That was very much helped by the easy going and friendly nature of the staff. Thank you for making my day so much better, and for finding my phone!

Quite traditional pub, with my favourite beer on cask. The food was also excellent: I had a chicken, ham, and leek pie. The crust was firm enough to contain the tasty filling, but not at all tough or chewy. My only complaint is that like most pubs nowadays they play music over the speakers. See the lovely book "Notes on a Beermat" by Nicholas Pashley for an extended lament about that.

Excellent pub with quirky separate rooms & several outside areas. We had Sunday lunch. Excellent & memorable. The cauliflower cheese add on was well worth having. It was quiet. Not sure why. It should be packed. Great food. Great value.

The food was delicious! We ordered the pie and fish + chips, both good. Maybe it's because I'm Californian and have high standards for produce but the mushy peas (why on earth use that adjective????) And boiled? Cabbage were both pretty gross. The drinks were also good. I got a (decaf) espresso that was super dilute and has no crema so that was sad. We didn't like the online ordering system--felt impersonal--and all the staff seemed very uninterested and bothered by our questions.

We attended with a group of 25 attendees for a drinks reception during a 2-day teaching course we were running at a nearly University venue. Robyn and the team did an excellent job of organising this for us - from designing a drinks & nibbles menu within our budget, through keeping an eye on the weather forecast throughout the day to make sure we could be outside as planned, to supplying drinks vouchers and managing our bill on the night. The food options (cauliflower wings, arancini balls, giant nachos, olives, houmous and chunky chips) were very tasty and served up warm and fresh. Our attendees had a great time and enjoyed the evening. A huge thank you to Robyn and the team - we will definitely be back!
