Latest visit around 2pm so quite quiet. Ordered a chicken burger and an "it's all gravy" burger and 2 triple cooked chips. Took some while to come, chased twice. Chicken burger very tasty, juicy with a nice crispy coating. Lovely hot chips. Unfortunately the beef burger was very dry so when the server came to ask how the food was this was mentioned and the manager summoned. We were offered a replacement burger and opted for the chicken. Then the manager asked if I would like another so that the two came together so we could eat together rather than me finishing mine before the other came. The replacement burgers were both fantastic. Beer choice great as always, with new guest beers which change regularly. Plus at the moment it's 2 for 1 on burgers on a Tuesday. An excellent piece of customer service from the Team. Would be 5 stars for food if the first beef burger was as good as the chicken.

Great local Boozer. Staff are friendly, efficient and do an excellent job. Great sense of humour too...which you really do need working in a pub. Beer was great, food was excellent, good value for money, and the fact you can order beer from your table without getting up - if you have a smart phone - is brilliant (if somewhat lazy!!) The atmosphere was great, very family friendly, not too loud but nor is it a coffin awaiting burial. If you want a pub that is still a genuine English Pub, not one of these daft themed pubs or fake locals, this is the place for you.

I highly recommend the Bali Burger (if you like a bit of spice). We also had the cheese burger which was great. Good service, lovely staff. Nice decor. Good music. The outdoor area looked great but we sat inside.

We booked the upstairs function suite for a work leaving party, with food, drinks and dancing. The staff member allocated to our area (sorry, I've forgotten their name!) was excellent, very attentive, friendly and responsive. The food was excellent as always, and the service was brilliant. A fab night was had by all. Thank you! :)

Really good delivery of a well-thought-out menu. The cooks care about the food they make and the bar staff also usually really seem to care - burgers, wings, and sides are all excellent offerings. Great beer selection too. The one downside is there's no escaping the music - the playlists seem pretty random, so it's not always horrible, but it is often a bit too loud.

We haven't been to the CoGH for a few years, but we really enjoyed our evening. The choice of beers is excellent; good and quick service behind the bar; excellent outdoor area, and we loved the booths. The food was excellent; especially the nachos, which are the best I've had in many years. There was also a wide vegan selection of meal choices too. The staff were friendly and chatted to us. We'll definitely be going again and more frequently. The only small criticism is the music inside is quite loud, which seems to be the norm now and not ideal with hard surfaces and someone (me) of mature years/hearing difficulties. Perhaps one area the music could be quieter? However, that hasn't put us off at all.

Always always always the best pub to go to!! Never disappoints in reality! I have had so many visits there now that I can’t even remember. The only thing is that they don’t have cauli wings sometimes so I always call them first and confirm bcz I absolutely love them!!

Good range of beer, sours, traditional ales and ipas. Lots of ciders on tap too. Service was fast, the food came in large portions, especially the nachos and the Sunday lunch looked like good value although we didn't have it. We will have to come back for it another time. We went into watch the F1, which we were pleased to see playing with the sound on. Bonus for the large TV!
