Istanbul Fish & Chips

One of the best fish and chips I've had since I live in England (almost 6 years now). It was so delicious! And a huge portion! You can tell it's fresh. It's a shame I don't live in Oxford but I'll be back for sure one day and of course I'll be back to this place. The owner is so kind and friendly, it was a pleasure meeting him. 100% recommendable.

What in the world is going on here? I stumbled in by accident, dead drunk like a zombie from Shaun of the Dead. As i stood drooling outside the window, the friendly owner beckoned me in. Several locals were chit chatting and exchanging stories about a set of triplets that would come in, confusing the aforementioned owner. The walls are covered in cultural adverts, from classical Chinese theater to the story of oil from ancient times to World War 1. The owner is super friendly, instantly engaged me in conversation, let me try some curry, which convinced me to order the curry fish and chips, a gorgeous monstrosity perfect to conclude a drunken night out.

Oh wow, the food was SO good. I couldn't eat it all but really wanted to because it was so delicious. Kas, the owner, is also a gem. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with him. We are definitely going back for both the food and kindness. We witnessed kindness and respect from Kas to each person who walked into the shop, even the man who appeared homeless who wandered in. Excellent food from a wonderful human being.
