Peachwave Of Oxford

Every single time I have come here in the past couple of years, the staff has always been super welcoming and often expresses how thankful they are for our business, so my opinion of this establishment has always been very high. Today my friends and I went out for dinner as a reunion because we were all back from college for our break, and we decided afterwards to stop at Peachwave for dessert for some of us. It was around 8pm, and they close at 10. Because there were many of us, one of my friends moved a couple chairs over so we could sit together. As she was doing so, the owner, out of nowhere, exploded on to her, saying that if she wanted to move chairs then she should ask first. She put the chair back, completely in shock at how absurd the situation was. We were then kicked out. I am really trying to be objective in this situation and look at what we could have done to set him off. It seemed to all of us in retrospect that we were respectful otherwise, not being too loud nor making any sort of mess. I work in the food industry as well, and I can understand if 9 people come in, especially on the later side, it can cause some stress, but only a few people actually ordered anything, so they were done serving us within 5 minutes. Not an exaggeration. If I were to do anything close to the reaction we received if I was working, I would be fired right on the spot. This situation was already upsetting, but it was even more upsetting because of how highly we all regarded the owners because of positive past experiences there. None of us will be returning.

Took my 7 year old here after a special day at school. Upon entering the woman stopped us and asked how many bowls we needed. After that she said dont touch anything I’ll be right there. I was confused because every other time I had brought my children here it was a fun experience of making your own ice cream and of course I would put on too much and it would cost too much but it was the experience we came for. She added the ice cream she added the toppings I had said “ when did you stop the self serve, since covid?” She was annoyed and with no personality said “it’s been like this for two years”. With no personality went on to ask what we wanted, and again was annoyed that my seven-year-old couldn’t figure out what he wanted but he didn’t realize the things were listed and he’s 7 so he’s not the best reader. She was annoyed again that her couldn’t make up his mind and kept rushing him with an annoyed tone but nice words! I got it! Nonetheless she made a fun experience a boring experience and one that my son will not wanna go back for it’s no wonder the seats and place are empty! Disappointed…

Went to this place with my two kids and it was horrible! The girl was so rude to my 5 year old that he didnt even want to ask for his toppings… she kept asking what did he want from the section she was standing at and he kept saying “gummy bears” she insisted he got something from where she was stading because she didnt want to go back and forth- the problem was he didnt want anything else. So after she understood that part she asked what else and he said gummy worms she didnt hear it and asked again and he said gummy worms and literally touched the plastic top of the container ( did not touch the food) … she rudely said “dont touch it “ at that point He was already feeling bad and I wanted to leave! After that we sat on the chairs to eat and my son (5 year old) dropped his bowl on the floor, and the guy that worked there said on the phone that my son was a penterro without knowing I know spanish! I should have known the place was horrible because it was 4:30 pm 87 degrees out and the place was empty… Never again!!!

What a wonderfully family owned small town establishment. Everyone has heard of a peachwave but this one stands amongst its peers. The owner is super friendly the place is always immaculate even so when mobs of cheerleaders and football teens come whirling through. They are just great all the way around!

I honestly don't get why I'm seeing reviews saying the staff are really rude and scream at you, I've gone in there many many many many times, my dad and I used to go there after swim practice every single Wednesday and they are just the nicest people in the world. They always are helpful, they are always.into having conversations with you, not to mention the yogurt itself. Never ever had a bad experience there. Ever.

The owner actually threatened my son because he let a tiny amount of yogurt onto the grate. It was the most offensive thing I’ve ever seen. I stepped in and he threw us out and tried to get into a physical altercation with me. I notified town hall. Apparently he has serious anger management issues. I will never patronize this place.
