really lovely! It's very small and was super busy when we first arrived so we had to wait a little while to be seated despite booking, but the staff were all very friendly and attentive. It being small and busy also meant it was quite loud, which made ordering a little bit of a chore, but the food was really incredible, the atmosphere was great and I would happily go back many more times! Really recommend it.

My partner and I have visited La Taberna 5 times between us. We love it here!!! The food is superb and the staff are so lovely. We highly recommend the aubergine and garlic dip - definitely our favourite on the menu. We’ve become regulars and on our last visit were treated to churros on the house. Best tapas in Oxford!

Tucked away off the High Street in Oxford, this little gem is worth a visit. It's a small windowless space with character. It is warmly decorated with lots of coloured art on the walls and Andalusian/Spanish music playing in the background. The menu is not extensive, but sufficiently varied to tempt the taste buds (including crowdpleasing dishes such as gambas al ajillo, albóndigas, boquerones, patatas bravas,...). Served by an efficient waitress, we ordered a selection of tapas that proved to be very tasty and flavoursome. A nice touch was the tin container with chunks of warm fresh bread that were ideal for mopping up all the delicious sauces. Price for 4 with service charge included around £70 (no drinks included). Worth trying this place out if you are visiting Oxford!

Delicious tapas and fairly decent value for money! For 3 people it was £80 which included a jug of sangria :) I'd recommend 2-3 dishes per person.

Loved it. It looked a bit suspicious from the street. But tapas is always a big draw. And man, I am happy we went for it. Great service. Fabulous food and lovely wine. We enjoyed our stay and hope others will enjoy their venture in through the little doorway.

Had an absolutely amazing time here. We had a lovely waiter who went out of his way to give us extra bread and churros, and make us feel welcome. The food was so tasty and the atmosphere felt warm and authentic. Will definitely go back again!

Really nice place and environment, proper Spanish! Food was ok, we were 2 and ordered 7 tapas and we were well full, I'd recommend 2/3 per person. We ordered a tapa fría de torilla, which was like Tesco's, and gambas al ajillo which were awful tbh. On the positives, pimientos del padrón, calamares and albondigas were delicious and decent amount of bread to dip!! Amazing variety of Spanish beers and reasonable price for all we had. Friendly staff as well, I'd go back for another Spanish night!!

Had an evening meal here and the food was amazing, some of the best Spanish tapas I've had! In addition to this, I would highly recommend the strawberry daiquiri- it was the best one I've had - it was short and super fruity 😍 The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was quick - would highly recommend a visit to this cute little restaurant 😊.
