The food was amazing. The fish was incredibly fresh and had a delightful, crispy coating. The chips were perfectly golden. The portion size was generous, and I couldn't resist adding a side of mushy peas, which were the perfect accompaniment.
What sets this place apart is their attention to quality. Even as takeaway, the food remained hot and retained its excellent flavor. The packaging was secure and well thought out, ensuring that everything arrived in great condition.
If you're in the mood for a classic and satisfying takeaway meal, this fish and chip shop is a top choice. I'll definitely be returning for more of their tasty offerings. It's a true gem in the world of comfort food takeout.
The best fish and chips I have ever tasted, in my life, bar none. Chips are the benchmark for me with this meal and these guys take it seriously with their potato selection. Soft almost sweet potatoes fried in beef dripping is the key here. The cod that accompanied them had the perfect ration of batter to fish and was also cooked perfectly. Phenomenal value; a small cod and chips and a fish cake and chips for £12:50. An ample portion and not a single morsel was wasted as we stuffed our faces on the sea front. Staff friendly and efficient, immaculately clean and a great menu to choose from. Wholeheartedly recommend and will be doing so to my hotel guests too.
P.S. If this could have possibly been enhanced in any way for me, it would be homemade tartare sauce and a wedge of fresh lemon, but I was prepared with my own. Processed tartare sauce has no place on this incredible food.

We have used Ocean Wild for a few years now, normally collect our food but thought we would give the delivery a try and they didn’t disappoint. Food arrived pipping hot and no different if we had collected it ourselves, staff were extremely polite just as they are behind the counter and nothing was soggy or sat in bag for to long like most other takeaways deliveries.

My family and I always come here when we want a fish and chips. The food is always fresh and the portions are huge! They're fairly reasonably priced but you're paying for quality, and quantity in this case too. We've tried out a few other fish and chips in the local area and this is the best.

ALMOST PERFECT fish, chips n mushy peas. Let down by hard peas that lacked seasoning. Gorgeous flaky fish in crunchy batter. Chips exactly how I like them.... chunky, fresh n hot!
Lacking drinks options but didn't rate that as you go to the chippy for the food!
