Excellent service, took my mum for a cup of tea, we got a pot of tea between the 2 of us & a little biscuit on the side each on the saucer. At last found a tea pot that does not leak everywhere when you pour it. Lovely tea set.
Yet another brilliant meal last Thursday. I'll always have fond memories of this place as it's the last place I ever went with my Mum but it's the quality of the food that keeps me coming back. Potted shrimp and crab was lovely, my only critique was I wanted more. Had the mussels for main and again they were delicious. So sweet and tasty with fresh bread on the side. I'll be back down soon that's for sure, even if I have to walk from Blackpool, it would be worth it
We had a problem with our room which meant we had to move from the (potentially) lovely room overlooking the Dee to a much smaller room overlooking the carpark. I have to say that the situation was totally recovered by the staff who gave a masterclass in how to handle a complaint. They really could not have done more. We slept well, breakfast was very tasty and we will definitely return if we find ourselves back in the area.
We enjoyed an amazing meal up on the first floor balcony area enhanced by a gloriously sunny day.
The food is expensive and cooked to perfection, but you get what you pay for, and it was worth every penny to me.
Service was very friendly and efficient and the pub/ hotel is fitted out to a high standard, with a decent amount of parking to the rear. The tables are nicely spaced apart throughout whether you choose to eat inside or in one of the three outdoor areas.
We will be returning to this place for sure!
We had a lovely snack overlooking the estuary.
We will definitely go there again. A pleasant half-day out for us, walking through Parkgate and enjoying the food and view from their lovely upstairs outside area. Even if it's too cold to sit outside next time, we'll still visit, and try the cosy-looking pub area instead.
Cannot express how much we enjoyed our two nights here at The Ship. From the moment we arrived every member of staff greeted us with a big smile and a genuine welcome. We have a 5 month old baby and the staff kindly kept his medicine and milk in the fridge and collected it for us when we needed. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms, the view, tea tray, shower, car parking, location etc was all spot on. Breakfast was also really good, great selection available - overall we thought the whole package was great value. Thank you to everyone at The Ship we would 100% recommend staying here.
This venue is probably the best we have stayed in. A very clean hotel, wonderful staff, top location looking over the Dee, good food and frankly one cannot fault the Ship. Many thanks to all the staff during our recent visit(2nd time this year). Highly recommended!!
A very comfortable hotel in a lovely location
Highly recommend eating there. The food was superb.
All staff were welcoming and friendly
I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions now and always found it good.
The staff are always helpful and friendly. The place is lovely and clean.
I have not eaten there, but the food looks good.
I will definitely be back
Had the pleasure of lunch at the Ship. Not been for a few years and how it’s changed ! Total renovation including an upper outdoor deck area , restaurant area also modernised. Food and service was excellent ! Will definitely return .
We didn't stay here, but had drinks a couple of times and ate here once. The staff are great, there's decent beer, and the food is excellent- a step above pub food for sure, and prices are reasonable.
Top draw food very good excellent service and enjoyable homely experience well worth a visit
