Clickham Inn

One of the most welcoming and friendly pubs I've ever had the pleasure to visit!! The food is top notch, so much so that we went back the next day to try something else. From the moment we stepped in the man behind the bar made us feel welcome and you could tell straight away that all these other reviews are 100% warranted. If you pass by, drop in! You will not be disappointed

Most places now allow dogs inside; this place is truly dog friendly! Exceptional service from very friendly and welcoming staff, delicious food and very generous portions (ordered fish and chips, received whale and chips 😁). There was even something extra from the chef for our dog Lacey (thank you 😊) We can only regret we haven't found The Clickham Inn earlier.

Passed this little pub a few times whilst out and about and decided to give it a try. Was busy when we arrived but we were found a table without booking. Didn't wait very long after ordering. Food was really nice. We ordered scampi and homemade steak pie. Would recommend both dishes. If I was to pick fault it would be with dogs being allowed inside.There was a small dog wandering around inside when we arrived , he was cute and didn't bother anyone but then a couple arrived bringing four large Labrador sized dogs with them. This was a bit much especially around one table to seat four. ( We obviously are not doggy people).

Lovely pub with fantastic food. We were staying close by and phoned on the off-chance they had space that evening. We were happy to sit outside as we had our dog with us and we were fitted in. When we arrived they had sorted the table outside in advance with cutlery and an umbrella up. Service was excellent and the food was unbelievable!! Clearly home cooked, freshly prepared and large portions. Had the chicken and Ham pie, Steak and Ale pie, Fish and Chips and Gammon. For dessert we had Sticky Toffee pudding and Mars Bar Cheesecake (the days special). Would recommend all the food, but special mentions for the 'full to bursting pies' and both the desserts. Would definitely go back when we visit the Lake District again. Update - we returned this week. Food was just as good, service was quick and friendly. The steak and ale pie was just as good, and the katsu curry was very nice. For dessert the chocolate cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding were still fantastic and very reasonably priced at just £6.50.

What a great place!! The staff were so nice and willing to help, the place just feels comforting. Food was delicious and prices were very good. Best mushy peas we have tried served with a super fresh fish, lamb was also superb. The desserts were so yummy as well. We missed out on the crumble 😭 but everything we tried was 5 stars. I would for sure recommend. Best to book. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. A big thanks to the Clickham Inn Team.
