On holiday in St Ives from Greater Manchester and found this little Gem online. When we rang to see if booking was required, the staff were really friendly and even advised us where best to park for free! Arrived to a warm welcome and reserved table. We are a family of 6 (including 4 fussy kids!) and staff were really patient when it took us (the kids) ages to decide and order. Food was fantastic and the price even better! Would definitely recommend this to any family. Kids enjoyed all the theatrics of the restaurant and Mummy and Daddy enjoyed great food at a fab price!

Really nice! Lovely staff and were very accomodating to what I wanted (a plain chicken burger whereas their options mostly consisted of spices or bbq sauce). Despite being busy, the order came out reasonably quick and was better than expected - they use actual fillets of chicken as opposed to the reconstituted types most use nowadays. Price was very reasonable and you get a lot for it, good range of food on offer and great service to top it off!

The family and I had a day out in Penzance and had lunch at the Smugglers Den. It was busy at the time, but the waitress advised us of the wait time, and there is a board advising the same during busy times. Well worth the wait. The dishes were hearty, the prices were reasonable and the service was great. We are already planning a trip back, since we're only an hour away. We love themed restaurants, and especially love pirates...so, it was fun. Not as many "Aaargggs" as we had hoped for, but our family made up for it through our conversations. Overall, fun and good food.

The Smugglers Den looks amazing with all the decorations. We had the Piri Piri Chicken with chips and the Jerk Chicken with pineapple and chips, a Filtered Coffee which my hubby didn't like much and he wasn't a fan of the Piri Piri either hence the 4 stars. We were happy with the food. Also had Onion rings and Homemade Coleslaw. Yummy 😋. My favourite was the Double Espresso Vanilla Milkshakes, my daughter added Daim to hers. We both had a Rum shot on ice each, Banana-Caramel and Banana-Coconut. Our male server tipped the tray serving the drinks, saved both our Rum shots but dropped hubbies coffee. He jokingly said the fumes of the alcohol made him tip the tray. Haha 😄

Absolutely loved the burgers! I love my seafood so had to give the crab and lobster burger with sweet potato fries a go. The partner had the massive kraken burger! The milkshakes were really yummy too. I've got to give the fish bowl size milkshake next time.it looked tempting when the table behind us ordered one. Will definitely be back again very soon. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience Smugglers Team ❤️❤️

Me and my son enjoyed eating here. The pirate theme made it an engaging space. The food was cheap with big portions. Sausage and chips, jerk chicken with pineapple. Milkshakes were lush!

My son and I come here quite often now as it’s his favourite place to eat in Penzance. The staff are always polite and friendly, nice food and plenty of it. Kitchen staff (shipmates) can be heard enjoying their work and sometimes the Captain makes an appearance to deliver orders to the table. Am very happy to support local businesses and spend my Doubloons here. Where do pirates hate to be kicked???? In the Arrrrrrrrrrrrse ;)

Lovely fried breakfast, large or standard sized. All well cooked. Tasty egg and avocado ciabatta. Good tea and coffee. All good prices and fast and friendly service. Plenty of tables, and busy even on a Tuesday morning, which must be a good sign. They serve wine and other alcoholic drinks too. We will go here again.
