I walk past this restaurant relatively often and been quite attracted by the atmosphere and relaxed vibe there, hence decided to go there with several colleagues for lunch. Actually went there on a Monday and was a bit disappointed with the food quality and service. Was told again that we were meant to do the fixed menu (as there were more than 8 people, take note, not mentioned anywhere on Google.) There was only 2 other tables with us and the service was very slow took us 1.5 hours for the entire lunch.
To be fair to Heno and Hay, some food was awesome, especially the raciones, the steak (flat iron steak), the chicken (rey Pollo) and the prawns (flash fried prawns) and the Chorizo. The meatballs (Albondigas) were also not too bad.
Had a lovely meal, before the opera last night. Food was delicious. Standouts were the yellow fin tuna tartare and patatas bravas. We ordered plenty of food for 2 people. Service was excellent, food came out promptly. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
Great Spanish food, located at the base of a hotel. Unfortunately the Perth CBD is pretty dead and quiet, we were facing an empty building and a big 'For Lease' sign so atmosphere could be better but staff were super friendly and the food was generous, tasty and great value.
Busy place but great food and service. Was super fast considering we were to attend a show after our booking. Menu can be a little confusing so perhaps changing up the descriptions a bit might make it a little easier to understand. Overall a lovely dining experience.
Was in the city for business and popped in there for a late breakfast .
Ambience is beautiful, breakfast selection great and really good coffee :)
Casual atmosphere and spanish / cuban food served tapas style. Service was s little slow and it was hard to get the attention of wait staff. I was told the food will not come out together but instead will come out when it's ready... which is fine but it would seem my grilled octopus took longer to cook than my medium sirloin steak!
I walked past looking for coffee and found this place by chance.
Great service, lovely looking place and nice coffee.
Food was INCREDIBLE and authentic, no idea why this place isn’t packed out during service times. Only slight negative was nobody really acknowledged me for a while when I was waiting to be seated despite it not being very busy, a few staff members looked directly at me and just continued with their convo haha, I mean at least say hello! But regardless once I was seated the rest of the experience was fantastic. Highly recommend
I went for the bottomless Sangria Lunch and it was amazing. We feasted on tapas for the full two hours with food being brought to the table slowly throughout the lunch sitting which was very well timed. Food was delicious and I couldn't fault it.
The drinks were delicious, we had both mimosa and sangria. The wait staff made sure we always had a drink in hand and were very prompt with their service. Which is the whole point of a bottomless lunch, so that was great. The service was warm and friendly. They made the day very enjoyable.
If you are looking for a bottomless brunch in Perth, I would definitely recommend over other places such as The Garden where we paid $65 and were barely served any drinks throughout the two hour sitting.
Just had the most wonderful dining experience. A HUGE thank you and shout out to Monica, our host, for providing such attentive and personal service. She is truly amazing and has her eyes on all tables at all times - what a legend! She was the only one looking after our table in the section, without her my review and dining experience would be well less than 5 stars.
The food came out separately which was a bit annoying, especially when it came out before our drinks, but in terms of value for money and quality, everything was amazing, can't fault any dishes.
Venue is really special also. Open style which is wonderful. Not too busy on King Street which made for a really enjoyable experience.
Again, MONICA was amazing. She well and truly encompasses what good hospitality is about.
