Awesome food and great service. We were a family of 9, so lots of work but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Great food at a great price. Definitely will be back again.
Amazing food a great place all round
Had a good time at the Royal Oak in Pewsey. Great beers, but sadly I was driving. It was Saturday night so the menu was a choice of several pizzas or fish & chips. It does roasts on a Sunday. Our fish and chips were excellent. People who expect perfection would not like this place. I adored it. A real local. An historic local. Exceptionally friendly staff and lovely warm-hearted locals.
The place has a good sized car park and nine pins skittles alley.
Stopped here on a sunday on a ride and had a great sunday roast.Nice that we didnt have to book.Girls behind the bar were really friendly and helpful...Great service and great little pub👍
Friendly pub with great beer garden. High quality, great value food.
My girlfriend popped into the pub last week hoping for lunch but owing to staff shortage no food was available. The landlord very kindly pointed out a very good bakery over the road and said we could bring food back. A very nice pub with a splendid selection of local ales, and a very friendly and helpful landlord. We will be back for lunch next time we're in the area!
Called on the off chance that we could have a Sunday roast. Beef, chicken or vegetarian sausages with all the trimming on offer. I had the Roast beef. One word "Excellent".
Lovely, country pub. Good range of drinks and delicious food. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there were no baby changing facilities.
The new landlord (took over during Covid) Martin has turned the place around.
The log fires have been lit every time I've visited over the winter (it's April 2022) which is always nice to see.
Staff are delightfully friendly and the service is quick.
Can't really fault the place, the beer garden is going through a change but it's winter, so you'd be crazy to sit out there atm anyway.
Lovely country pub. Rustic and homely. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't do enough for us. Great place.
Lovely beer, pity the kitchen was closed, tenant leaving soon. Best of luck in Bradford upon Avon.
Gorgeous old pub with plenty of rear parking.
Had two ploughman’s lunches - an English (Stilton, Brie, proper ham, pickled onions, coleslaw, salad, chutney) and an Italian (proper ham, chorizo, pesto olives, chilli olives, salad, chutney) served on huge pizza boards with plenty of bread.
Martyn is an attentive and considerate landlord and his lovely staff are softly spoken and polite. With pub trade suffering with the covid restrictions, it’s good to see businesses like this re-emerge. Thank you, we will most definitely visit next time we’re on our way to Swindon.
