Big M Burgers

If you’re a dinner lover, as I am, I would HIGHLY recommend you to come and visit this place. The Classic old style dinner! We ordered the cheese burger combo (burger + fries + Soda), it’s was just perfect. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality you get. We’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends.

Found this hidden gem with my family on our random outing. It is a bit pricey but it’s great vibes. We ordered way too much food. The helpings are pretty big so be mindful of that. This is what we ordered: Cheeseburger which my partner loved. It was super filling and she didn’t really eat anything else because she was so full. Big M burger which was basically the same just no cheese. It was really Filling and tasted great. Onion rings and they were ok. Really big portions. I couldn’t finish them. It was greasy but I guess that is expected. Fries were also big portion. They were also pretty good. Poutine which my daughter said was a bit salty and the gravy was cold. Overall the spot is cute, we went to the boardwalk after which was about a 10 min walk. The kids enjoyed it and you will too. Next time, I’d probably get an order of fries and ketchup and hand out. It’s super cute. We were so hungry that we didn’t remember to take pics of our burgers but here are the fries and onion rings.

Local gem! Old fashioned style diner food with hard working staff and delicious eats! It took a little while to receive our food but as the sign on the door says, "it takes 8 minutes to cook a burger". I was happy to wait and see them grilling my burger fresh for me. The wait was worth it! Food was tasty and fresh, onion rings obviously made in-house and so crispy! Great place! My family is so happy we trusted the stellar reviews and tried this place while we were in town. Only suggestion for improvement would be to add a little flavour to the onion rings and fries - a little on the bland side. Thanks, Big M Team! Great dinner 👍

I am so utterly discussed on how this restaurant handles the food. My boyfriend and i walked in for the first time last Friday night and ordered 2 burgers. The staff prepare the food right in front of you while you wait, and you can view how they cook and prepare the food behind an old 1950's style glass counter. To my discus, i see a girl with long white sparkly nails that are at least 2 inches long picking up our burger buns and handling them as if they were her cell phone. She literally groped the food 3 times or more and all i could think was what WHY THE HECK is she NOT wearing gloves? When i said something to a larger white gentlemen, i was rudely advised that Health Canada has removed restrictions on gloves and he snapped, "We will get FINED if we wear gloves!!" Wow, how rude and what a terrible first experience this was for us. So i looked up these so called Health Canada regulations and it is true, restaurants are no longer required to wear gloves and the rules go on to also include, "restaurants ARE required to use tongs and NOT handle the food with their bare hands". So you see BIG M, maybe i could make a suggestion so your future customers don't see your staff with 2 inch long fake nails handle your customers food directly in front of them without tongs. I have reported this restaurant to Health Canada for investigation and we will NEVER eat at this establishment again! All Big M had to do was offer us clean Hamburger buns to correct our concern, but instead they preached Health Canada regulations which they are clearly not following. !!

In the mood for an incredible cheeseburger and fries? Or, is it a juicy steak sandwich with onion rings you're craving. Well, this is the place for you. I, now, order the veggie burger, which is really, really good, as I no longer eat meat or dairy, but, I still remember how delicious their proteins were. The burgers are homemade, deliciously spiced and perfectly charbroiled. The French fries...golden brown, hot and crispy. Their steak sandwich is made out of tender flank steak cooked to order. A must try is their incredibly huge home-made onion rings and and velvety smooth milkshakes. The veggie burger that I, now, order is also delicious and doesn't have that horrible aftertaste that the Beyond Burgers or the Impossible Burgers have. It's juicy and flavourful and is topped with always fresh and crisp toppings along with sweetly sautéed onions. This is the greatest burger joint in Pickering, IMO.
