Went for evening meal. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great food lots of choice and gluten free meals. Also not overly expensive. Would recommend.
Lovely lunch. Our children were made to feel very welcome and special. Excellent fish and chips, and one of the best sticky toffee puddings I've ever had. Thank you!
Wow what can I say. Amazing place and staff, they really do go above and beyond for you. We had our wedding reception here. Perfect. Even got us a wedding card. I've never felt so welcome. Organised isn't the word for it. I can not fault a thing. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Thank you weary friar for having us,and making our day special
Our first visit back to The Weary Friar was a pleasant surprise. It's much better now than it was 5 or so years ago. Great food and super friendly staff. Best Sunday lunch we've had in years.
We stayed locally and we wanted to stop for some food. Great quality food with large food portions. About average prices. Friendly staff who were very accommodating for our golden retriever. Would visit again.
Just got back home from the weary Frier if could give more than 5stars would do waitress service never had better. The food cooked to how you like it . I had steak so tender wife's had lasagne couldn't nothing eat it all friend had fish and chips loved the fish batter crispy.
Nothing over priced will be returning
Busy, but we were served quite quickly. The Pollock and chips was excellent. If we are in the area again. We will definitely return. There is a really friendly atmosphere.
Really lovely pub.The staff are really friendly.Within 15 minutes of arriving we had been given a piece of paper suggesting Golitha falls as a place that would be shady and cool to take our dogs on the hottest day of September.Really dog friendly and the food was great home cooked pub food. Will definitely use again if in the area
Food/drinks- had a good meal, buzzy pub and bar area, reasonably priced. Staff very attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Quirky bar area-clean and modern toilets. Would recommend for a meal or a pint!
Accomodation - Bit tired around the edges - our room was pokey, bathroom was dark (no natural light), very noisy fan when light on, pillows were very flat, the curtains looked new (but hadnt been ironed and had the fold marks from the packaging/rings). The door was noisy and we could hear our neighbours coming in and out up and down the corridor. Basic, clean and functional. We had a bath which was nice but given the space in the bathroom a shower only may have been better suited. Breakfast was good, selection of cereals and unlimited toast, with breakfast cooked to order.
A lovely country pub offering good quality food at reasonable prices. Made to feel welcome, friendly and attentive staff
