The Lockdown Bar And Grill

Came for a drag show, honestly one of the best nights I've had in a long time. However there's no air conditioning in there which made it so hot! Though I do understand it was an abnormally hot day. Great acts booked, and I can't recall her name but either a local/owner sang before the main act and she was fantastic! Great voice and brilliant songs to get everyone involved. Would come again for what entertainment show you have next.

This place deserves 5 stars 100% Service was perfect! Food was perfect! Will definitely be returning when we are in the area :) If you're in these reviews considering going, just do it- give your money to a place that's independent, I was so impressed and glad I didn't listen to some of the negative feedback on here!! The breaded camembert was amazing btw! As was the cheesy garlic bread-you get loadsssss 😋 We had a few chicken dishes, burgers, chips, onions rings were amazing too! Wine was really nice and also great price, literally can't fault it. Came here as a walk in table of 5 on Wednesday and I must admit, I was sceptical as I read some not so great reviews, but it's clear people hardly review if they've had a good experience& the people that had a bad experience are obviously being ridiculous as the food we had here and the service was 10/10. Our waitress was Sophie and she was SO lovely, always checking to make sure we were happy or wanted drinks etc! They were waiting on a seafood delivery (proves it's fresh so that's a good note for next time) so we had to choose something else which was totally fine as there was loads to choose from! One of our diners didn't read the menu before she ordered and didn't mention she didn't want sauce on her dish (totally her own fault and she shouldn't really have said anything as it was her mistake and she should have read the menu properly!) but as soon as Sophie heard that she wanted it without sauce she immediately told the kitchen and they cooked her up a new one straight away!! I wouldn't have done that if I were a chef, I'd have said it was her own fault😂 but I was just so impressed by that! Our party was made to feel really welcome and the food was honestly sooooo delish! Great portion sizes, great quality and overall such a nice experience at this place! I go out to eat a lot and this was one of my favourites. Even a few days after eating here, my mum and dad keep saying 'that was a tasty meal we had at that place wasn't it' 👌🏼 Thank you Sophie, Chef& everyone at the Lockdown bar xx

I loved it! Only thing I'd say though is, for them to ask their customers how they like their beef cooked. I had it medium rare (I can't stand any pink in it at all) but that was my only issue, they were lovely enough to take it back and get it to how I wanted. Lovely atmosphere and food was amazing!
